Time For Kingdom Hearts To Return To A Console, Says Tetsuya Nomura

Since its PlayStation 2 debut back in 2002 the Kingdom Hearts series has spanned six different platforms.

Despite its console origins over the past seven years the franchise has found a home mostly on handhelds since the PS2 release of the second installment back in 2005.

With the most recent title, Kingdom Hearts Drop Dream Distance for the 3DS, completed and shipping this Summer in the West, series creator Tetsuya Nomura sounds ready to bring the action rpg back to its console roots.

Ranma14361d ago (Edited 4361d ago )

Excellent idea Square Enix...but just DONT add an auto battle feature.

K? is that to much to ask for?

In fact dont let Motomou Toriyama even get close to it...

Time to take on multiple projects and not release any of the good ones for several years.

You should have brought it back four years ago. Oh and finish Versus XIII already!

In the end they didn't get any info except it'll shock players of the orginal. I swear if they kill cloud or Tifa imma be pissed. Barret to for that matter. They can't die.

I'm starting to wonder if cloud does catch the L though.

I wonder how alternate dimension Zack will tie in. Maybe dies in one and not the other? Will they converge? Exciting stuff either way.

Sephiroushin106d ago (Edited 106d ago )

Me too, on latest trailer marlene was talking with Zack a mentioned “when she wakes up a scary man is gonna kill her” I guess she was talking about Aerith but makes you wonder is she was talking about something else completely unrelated!

Sephiroushin106d ago (Edited 106d ago )

Just like the bazillions mistakes and mistranslation the OG has, Aeris is one of them, it’s a literal translation, although it can end “s” or “th”, should we use Kuraudo or Baretto huh? …

While i kinda like Aeris more because of JP, It’s been confirmed for many years that Aeris was a mistranslation and now it has finally been corrected to Aerith.

Barlos105d ago

I know it was a mistranslation, but she'll always be Aeris to me because that's what she was called in the version I played. And also because Aerith just sounds like Aeris but said with a short tongue 😂

I want to experience the shock again in 4k current gen graphics.
