CVG writes: Xbox Live Arcade hit Trials Evolution is basically coming out on PlayStation Vita via copy-cat game Urban Trials.
Handled by Polish developer Tate Interactive, Urban Trials is - you guessed it - a physics-based motocross game which has you manoeuvring a bike around an obstacle-filled 2.5D environment. It also looks near-identical to the XBLA title.
If imitation really is the sincerest form of flattery then it's highly likely there was a swell of blushing cheeks in RedLynx's Helsinki office when Urban Trials was properly unveiled last year. A side-scrolling race against the clock that hurls a motocross bike through a series of improbable obstacles, it's not exactly hard to pinpoint where Polish developer Tate Media got the idea for its PSN-bound game.
Let's face it, it is a rip-off. But at least Sony gamers now have a game like Trials.
VVV: "Trials Evolution is without a doubt one of the best downloadable titles available in recent memory, and I can't help but feel for PS3 owners who have been deprived of the experience. It seems, however, that an intriguing alternative is on its way."
Yup, if ever there were xbox games I envy, it'd be trials evolution :D Its cool that we get our own version of it, although not as robust as TE.

Let me guess the new headlines.
"Sony is all out of new IPs" or
"Can Sony come up with a game without copying" or
"Who will Sony copy next" or
I'm fine with it. Trials is an awesome game. Looking forward to this!
Smh
Between this, sony battle royal, and LBP kart racing, Sony just seems content on ripping off other ideas. Nothing wrong with inspiration, but these games are cutting it too close.
And when companies copied Sony's Singstar, Gran Turismo, etc. It was all good though right?
Never mind the fact Sony brought the most new IP and ideas out this Generation.
But it's cool to hate Sony these days from what I gather. Never mind the fact that when ANY other company copied, there wasn't even half as much of a big deal made.
Edit- and on a side note, it's not even Sony doing this game. The publisher is TATE MULTIMEDIA and the developer is TATE INTERACTIVE. But if it makes it easier for you to "blame Sony" for this one go right ahead.
