GEV Says: Fourteen years ago, a friend of mine, showed me this new game he had gotten for PlayStation. What an amazing game it was. It was the first time, a game made me feel as if I were playing an interactive movie. It had some great stealth aspects I had never experienced before, amazing boss fights, even some neat tricks like reading off games on my memory card. The game I’m talking about is obviously Metal Gear Solid, and since that day, I’ve been hooked on the series. Purchasing every title as they came out. Fast forward to 2004. Ps2 gets its second helping of Solid Snake in Metal Gear Solid 3: Snake Eater.
Konami will temporarily remove Metal Gear Solid 2 and Metal Gear Solid 3 from digital storefronts starting November 8 as it works to renew the licenses for select historical archive footage used in each game, the company announced.
To be honest, I’m surprised Konami are even considering re-listing this given how they’ve abandoned their franchises and fans.
Maybe temporarily will become permanently.
Just started MGS 3 over the weekend.
Wouldn't have affected me since I bought the collection a long time ago.
I'm more interested in the fact that they have to re-license historical footage constantly. At what point is it not worth it anymore? I can't imagine a lot of people are buying MGS Collection.
How to get engaged with 2s story ? , can't get through the ship without quiting the game literally since forever.
Metal Gear Solid 3 is one of the greatest games of all time, and Konami is giving it a remaster with the FOX Engine! Sort of....with Pachinko. RGT 85 isn't too pleased with this decision!
I still can't believe Konami is doing all this. It's like they're intentionally trolling us at this point.
It looks so beautiful too...not that the original MGS3 looks bad (seriously go emulate that shit it's still a damn good looking game) but these remastered parts look phenomenal!
They are testing to see how angry fans are then offer It on consoles.
I am done with Konami for the way they have behaved.
Rich Stanton:
"Metal Gear Solid 2 ended with an explosion of questions. In creating a game that questioned its own status as a game, Kojima had opened countless essentially insoluble plot threads. The most pressing one was: what next? Hideo Kojima initially tried to avoid directing Metal Gear Solid 3, or so the talk goes. He did not."
"Granted, the option to get a dual analog stick attachment is there, the peripheral is currently only available in Japan." It's available in America. It turns the game into a modern Third Person shooter with better controls then the original PS2 version.
it does work, but it needed a little bit of optimisations , but still it's playable, other thing game with circle pad plays awesome, other thing now when ninty released update, so games now can be updated, konami maybe could do a patch for optimisations and maybe aiming with accelometer too , maybe someone could write those reccomendations to konami..
The author says the Circle Pad Pro is only available in Japan......maybe he should try going to Gamestop since they sell them exclusively here in America !! Bad journalism to not even know that. He also says the graphics are the same as PS2 in which they are not. Screenshots have proven the 3DS version looks superior and sharper. It may not compare to the HD versions, but way better than PS2.
Bubble me up if you agree !
