Chris Gravelle writes: The app store for Apple’s iOS enabled devices is full of junk. Finding the hidden gems is as much a game as the myriad of titles that can be found there. So, when I took a chance and downloaded LambdaMu’s Dice Soccer I set my expectations very low. It was quite a surprise, when a week later, I was still spending time on the game, as well as thinking about it when I wasn’t playing. The title is fairly easy to describe, so don’t expect me to be poetic about it for the next few thousand words, instead, enjoy the brevity of this review and get right into it. You don’t need to look at the score. Hell, you probably should have it download while you read this piece of journalistic excellence. It is just that good.
The Quality Index champions the best dice-based titles on iPhone.
STP - Dice Soccer will have you rolling dice and cheering on cartoons at all hours, but a few glitches and a slow pace hold it back from being great.
Having played this addictive little game, it's impossible not to recommend it. So good!
The art is pretty sweet. In a strange way it reminds me of the puppet faces from the old Genesis music video "Land of Confusion."
Nice review. Pity I don't have an iPhone :p
I might actually check this out when I have a chance.
