While retailers have been having stellar deals for the Playstation 3D Displays, buyers have been reporting issues with the displays.
FanBolt writes: "The PlayStation 3D Display looked to be a great fit for PlayStation gamers, whether you are looking for 3D gaming or use of the SimulView technology, which in my opinion is fantastic if you do a lot of two player gaming at home."
i use mine everyday and take it with me to gaming partys with my slim and PS headphones.quick fix for heavy 3D motion sickness, every game has a saturation bar you can adjust in the games OPTIONS.for UC3 or KZ3 about 50% is best for hours of 3D gaming.
Waiting for the pricedrop on it in Europe, like USA got it recently for about 150 bucks.
They're still 300 Euro overhere, although it gets 2 pair of glasses overhere compared to one in USA, plus KZ3 and GT5. Then again got both those games already.
Same pack if it drops to 200, it is a buy for sure.
dont believe the hype, ive had 2 3d tvs and it's garbage. Passive and active 3d sucks. The only time it works is movies, and even then it's not that good. current set up i have now is a lg 5600. yeah its about a year old, and it works, its just that software engineers have a long way to go cause noone has even got it half right .
Shredder i don't know why man but i got a 3d lg cinema and use it for movies and games and since i got that tv when i go to the movie teathers to watch a 3d movie it looks the same way i guess my eyes are getting use to it now about this sony 3dtv i want to get one but do you know if it is a smart tv o no?you know like access to netflix, pandora etc
Back in E3 2011 when PlayStation first showed off this TV, Game-Modo was jumping for joy. Why? Because for $500, not only was it going to come with the TV, but it also brought its own HDMI cable, a pair of 3D glasses, and it was to also come with Resistance 3 (Game-Modo love the Resistance series). Once the package was released last year it did not include R3 but instead MotorStorm Apocalypse - Game-Modo are not fans of the series so we ended up passing on it. Fast forward to a couple of weeks ago when Game-Modo got an email from Best Buy informing me that the TV was part of their Deal Of The Day sales for $160. Obviously that was a deal that Game-Modo couldn't pass even if it came with a game that might never get opened.
With Americans now able to purchase the once uber expensive Sony PS3 3D display for under $180, it seems UK gamers can get in on the reductions too.
I want it cheap overhere in the Netherlands. I prefer 160 USD aka 120 Euro too!!!
Overhere cheapest is around 300 Euro, although it gives 2 pair of glasses (one pair is 50 to 70 bucks if bought separate) and KZ3 and GT5.
Thing is, I already own both of those games, if I sell em might bring something like 30 to 40 Euro. Still that makes 260 Euro total. I'd buy that bundle if it rocked around 200, 220 Euro max
I believe new customers of Very also get £30 off their first order, plus you can pay 12-months interest free.
If you want something that will break in 2 months, this is you 3D display!
Go read the amazon, CNET customer reviews if you don't believe me - this thing breaks more than even the PSP and PS2 laser did, combined.
i was kinda excited about this on the earlier news about the price drop but ofcourse I read the negative reviews on amazon.com. cant say I'll be getting this. I really wanted to see my ps3 in 3d for only 299
Happened to me today. After a few hours it returned to normal. Someone needs to provide phone numbers to get this issue resolved. I read in the manual that these TVs aren’t owned by Sony. Don’t know how that’s possible but that is what the manual claims.
Anyway the forums all over the net provide dead ends and NO answers. We need to find out who actually is hiding behind Sony’s brand name or get a lawsuit started. There is no way these guys can get away with selling a 300-600 TV with a 4 month life span and think they can just walk away.
For anyone who needs to know, the warning signs are clear. Occasional blackouts while gaming is an instant red flag for your TV. According to the forums it only gets worse. Very, very high failure rates with many customers reporting no help (or lies about helping) from Sony. Also there have been reports of “dead pixels” on these TVs out of the box. My suggestion is to stop buying these sets. It’s not worth the risk.
Interesting that this isn't even hinted at around here until all the articles about sales pop up.
Not saying it's not true. Just saying it's rather convenient timing.
you get what you pay for
sony needs to fix this it will affect future console sales. People will start to think sony is like microsoft red ring of death
