I love my PS3 but man, the Vita doesn't interest me in the slightest.

I've already got a PlayStation console to play all the great titles, why do I need a semi-portable one?

Outside_ofthe_Box4392d ago

You could always get a 3DS if portable console gaming isn't your thing.

You don't "need" a semi-portable one. Personally I've always wanted a portable handheld that has games that closely resemble console experiences and Vita does just that.

@ Outside of the box

Why would he buy a 3DS if he isn't interested in portable gaming?

SandwichHammock4392d ago

@Dante and the 8+ agrees

Reading comprehension low today?

GameOn4392d ago

lol whatever, It doesn't make sense never mind your reading comprehension.

Outside_ofthe_Box4392d ago

@Dante

When did he say he isn't interested in portable gaming?

He's essentially saying why do I need a handheld that offers a PS3 experience when I already have a PS3.

And my reply to that is you could always get a 3DS if console gaming on the go isn't your thing while I however always wanted a console gaming on the go experience.

Obviously you wont play all the great titles on your ps3 alone .

Here is your why . I never needed a portable/handheld console , i only liked those because of their unique titles .

The rest depends upon if/how much you care for those exclusive titles , and/or if having multiplatform handheld games, is a plus to you . So of course you dont NEED to play cod on the go ... but you might , as an example , NEED to play Gravity daze and persona the golden , period .

I think the Vita will have a good holiday season, but summer will be bone dry.

Nitrowolf24393d ago (Edited 4393d ago )

Summer in general is typically dried for all system, well for any big titles at least. They usually release before or during the fall/winter season.

stormeagle64392d ago

The software lineup already looks like a shriveled up corpse and it's only been 2 months since launch.

fear884391d ago

Sad that Vita has more going for its library than the 3DS did in a years time.

Baka-akaB4392d ago (Edited 4392d ago )

The software lineup is so far great . Problem is , it will be devoid of major news for a while , bare a few exceptions .

For once it would have helped to have less launch titles and those distilled from feb to May , instead of having it almost whole , and little else afterward , beyond looking forward , in the immediate , to stuff like Gravity daze in June

It's gonna be a dry summer , as expected with most platforms , especially so on vita , even in japan with mostly psp stuff and Persona 4 to look forward to . Not a bad thing actually , since it will allows to catch on over 30 potential good vita games since launch , that were otherwise ignored .

The bad news is , it leaves the Vita out of the immediate newsfront till e3 , stuck with the rabbid media dogs on its heel and drooling without reasons over tablets and phones .

GillHarrison4392d ago

Gravity Rush should've been a North American launch title.

Original Final Fantasy 7 - Is it Worth Playing in 2024?

Final Fantasy 7 has come back under the spotlight thanks to the release of Final Fantasy VII Rebirth, but is it worth replaying the original?

ravens5214d ago

Got to Zacks part in 7 Rebirth. Said f it. Finishing my game in 7 og. Just got to part 2 yesterday. I also got Crisis Core... So it'll be a while before I'm back to Rebirth. I just keep thinking about it too smh, want to get back to playing it. Not till I know Zacks story though. I beat 7 og sooooooo long ago, it's crazy going through it again and remembering things.

MrNinosan14d ago (Edited 14d ago )

Got to Zacks part in Rebirth?
You mean you started the game and turned it off?
The game starts with Zack...

ravens5214d ago

... Really 🤓 lol. His second part, I've played for 80hrs lmao. <---- PS5 Run time, probably not all game time. You guys know how it goes.

VIK212114d ago (Edited 14d ago )

Did you not ever play the OG FF7? After you recruit Vincent, later in the game, disc 3, return to that basement and look at the pod, there's a whole Zack story that'll trigger as a memory.... it's well hidden in the game and a lot of things regarding Zack are cleared up. FF7 Crisis Core is basically an extend feature of that hidden flashback... It took me years to discover it back then lol

@ravens52
80 hours in Rebirth by doing everything, and you should've reached Zacks story about 5 times 🤣

ravens5213d ago

Ye I kno that's y I said not all gameplay time. But also I am very anal when it comes to exploring.

ravens5213d ago

Not to mention fighting Titan at his full strength. Hours spent trying still haven't succeeded. Found all 3 ruins but I'ma masochist when it comes to games.

Barlos14d ago

Very much so. Graphically it's dated but the story and the gameplay haven't aged a day. It's still one of my all time favourite RPGs and for me is better than Remake in some ways.

Barlos14d ago (Edited 14d ago )

It always takes me back to Christmas 1997, I got it as a gift and I was blown away when I played it. I couldn't believe games could look that good. The combination of pre rendered backgrounds and FMV really made it stand out. It definitely still has a certain charm that modern games can't replicate.

I can't imagine people will still be talking about Remake and Rebirth in 27 years.

Tapani13d ago

Fully agreed. To me the atmosphere, pacing, gameplay and music are all better than in the remake.

Rebel_Scum14d ago

Yes, play this, skip remake, start rebirth for new players.

I_am_Batman14d ago

Skip Remake? That's terrible advice.

leahcim14d ago

Remake is so amazing, pure FFVII Love, play it on PS5 please! aww the graphics the battles, the music... a dream come true.

Rebel_Scum14d ago (Edited 14d ago )

I disagree Batman
