The following information comes from a source supposedly closely involved with manufacturing and distributing Nintendo products...
The Nintendo Switch is potentially nearing its lifespan, and several Wii U games haven't found their way over as ports yet.
I think it's better to leave games like AC: Amiibo Festival and Mario Tennis: Ultra Smash forgotten on the Wii U. Best case, they are mediocre games; worse case, they are very bad. It was a dark time for the Wii U, and the first only exists to sell Amiibo cards, whereas the second was put together in a couple of months with a shoestring budget, and it shows.
The rest of the list does have some really cool games, though. I would love to see a remake of Star Fox Zero with decent controls, and Xenoblade X doesn't require that much modification to work.
This article leaves out Nintendo's most controversial game to date devils Third.
I personally found the cover system really fun in that one compared to at the time most fps games completely lacking one.
Kirby is always ignored or forgotten by people, so good to see it mentioned here.
Play Kirby Canvas Curse on DS, and then play Rainbow Curse on Wii U, they're really fun and unique 'platformers' without any actual jumping.
Hanzala from eXputer: "The cruel hammer of Nintendo has fallen. Farewell, 3DS and Wii U, you surely brightened my life and many others; you won't be forgotten."
A new list goes over eight of the the most useless amiibo, ranging from the Shadow Mewtwo card to the Qbby figure.
I keep telling people that the controller isn't as expensive as it would seem.
People look at the $60 controllers today and use that as their base logic for thinking the Wii U Pad costs "$100-$150" to make. But what people got to realize is that the controllers we're paying for now are OVER-PRICED. Notice how the price in console drops, but the price in controllers don't. Technology gets cheaper as the years go by, yet the controllers for the most part keep constant. So the $50-$60 price tags on these controllers are basically bullshit and it's just the companies making maximum profit.
Anyway $300 seems just right. It's either that or $350, that's my prediction.
That sounds about right, but sadly it will be outdated soon. I'm not trying to be negative, I like the Wii U, but when the PS4/XBOX 720 come out, it will become like the Wii with more developers choosing the more powerful system to create multiplatform games. The Wii U will be high tech and advanced for a year more, but after that it will become like the Wii. Successful, but most of the quality games will come from first party devs.
It's gotta be more than that. 3DS was first priced at $250. Why would a new console only be $50 more?
$300 dollars sounds reasonable, though we don't know much else about the console's capabilities, so we should take this with a grain of salt. If true, though, as long as there's a killer launch lineup, Nintendo could be in a pretty advantageous position for the 2012 holiday season.
I can't help but think that if this is true, at that price point it wont be the 6x better than the ps3 it was rumoured to be? I really do think it will other the graphics of a ps3/360 but with less power and the controller being the selling point that makes it different.
