The Indoctrination Theory has been a major point of debate over the past several weeks, with players arguing both for and against the Mass Effect 3 conspiracy. I’ve got a theory, too. Metal Gear Solid 3 isn’t exactly what it seems.
Oh, and spoilers abound, obviously.
The PlayStation 3 may not have been the strongest generation for Sony, but there were still some diamonds in the rough that deserve a revisit as PS5 remasters.
Even if they could just remaster and put on PSVR2, some would still look great as VR titles and could do a whole lot to bolster the headset w these exclusives! I'd imagine the investment of reworking these titles into VR would be way less than building new games from the ground up, and they could be amazing experiences, and VR often makes flat games feel fresh again. The Resistance and Killzone games are particularly what I want to see!!
The time is perfect for a resistance fall of man game campaign coop multiplayer
Resistance was ok but Warhawk and Starhawk was better and kept me coming back for almost a decade of fun and petty revenge on the loud mouth unskilled players 🤣
Edit I loved capture the flag dropping the pot on the flag carrier was extremely satisfying as well as transforming your plane in bot form and stumping them to death 😱
In the wake of some of the Metal Gear games getting remastered in the Metal Gear Solid: Master Collection, it seems like a good time to take a look back at the originals. This review will go over one of the classic titles, Metal Gear Solid 3: Snake Eater.

Well it fits. I like it, and knowing hideo kojima it could rightly be possible. would draw the series in a nice even circle and explain why 3 was a prequel when the other games were totally in order, all of the fallowing solid snake.
Plus would leave room for some other awesome simulations later, I want to see a game of The Boss.
The whole series could even be meta meta meta and be a clone of snake/big boss reliving his whole life in order to bring him back. Recorded by nano machines or something, it's all stuff that can be written in and kojima is zany enough to do it.
Like Desmond, Solid is reliving BigBoss's memories.
Right ??? :p
The S3 simulations are the most interesting things about MGS story. Also, look at how they took excellent soldiers like Grey Fox, Olga (mgs2), and Raiden and turned them into cyborgs. Could that be another plan of the patriots, which would extend the story? Also the VR missions theory ould very well explain why MGS 3 had the name Solid in it's title, even though it's apparently about Big Boss. Also peace Walker got really deep into the subject of AI. Is it possible that Kojima is setting up Dr. Strangelove to be the architect of the future S3 simulations?
I love MGS....
In MGS5, you'll just be controlling Solid Snake while he's playing MGS1.
It's interesting and could be an easy way for Kojima to tie things together, but overall I think its looking a little too far into it.
I mean the time parodox things etc happen simply because MGS2 already happened. If Kojima allowed you to kill Ocelot, or to let Snake die completely, then the story wouldn't flow correctly with MGS2. its a simple mechanic. I believe the game also explains what the meaning is to virtuous mission too.
Plus I kinda think he didn't really have an idea for MGS4 just yet and wanted to open up more of the book, so he went into the past. Tons of creative writers do this all the time, its common formula and takes rather a lot of skill to make it work almost flawlessly like Kojima did.
