Bioware Listens to Feedback and Yet we Still Call Foul

Nick Calandra of OnlySP.com talks about the upcoming Mass Effect 3 DLC.

dedicatedtogamers4396d ago

Did they "listen to feedback", or did they simply get caught with their pants down and now they're doing their best to cover their tracks?

Rule #1: don't burn your loyal fans, and especially don't lie to them and continue lying to them after you're caught. This is what happens.

Kantor4396d ago

Not only that. The feedback was to make an ending which was logically consistent and took your choices into account, not just to extend on the mess that already exists.

Diver4396d ago (Edited 4396d ago )

we're gonna have a bunch of these bioware apologists which just do not get it. the fans shouldn't have needed to storm the gates in the first place.

anyone that thinks bioware's latest actions are the result of goodwill needs to put the hash pipe down and go outside for some fresh air.

like any 12 step recovery this one needs to start with a come clean confession. casey hudson loves to jabber so lets see him stand up and admit they screwed the fans an offer an earnest pledge to do right.

otherwise just watch bioware never recover. their next title will be ridiculed to hell before launch and every comment from bioware treated like a lie.

you want the wound to heal you gotta clean it out and that always smarts.

FCOLitsjustagame4396d ago

From the statement released I don't think they listened at all. I think they heard only what they wanted to hear and they think a bone, no matter how old, used, grimy and illogical it is will be a good enough distraction so they can get to their next games.

Still not sure how they expect to sell any DLC for this game though. Maybe they are just going to write ME off. Too bad, they were so close to having one of those legendary type franchises.

krazykombatant4396d ago

Spoiled brats?? Wtf? Excuse me if I feel the writers from ME3 went crazy and lazy with the ending. It was half assed. Period. I dont know how this franchise is going to continue. I may never buy another BioWare game again.

modesign4396d ago

what a shame, their next game is command and conquer generals 2.

Mythicninja4396d ago

*Huff* well at least story wasn't too big of an element in the last generals

grahf4396d ago

It really started to go downhill with Dragon Age 2. The writing there was horriffic. And when I say writing, I mean the overall story development. Some of the dialogue is genius.

"Helping people and killing people are what I'm best at!"

VanillaBear4396d ago

We wanted to change the ending which was full of plotholes, using the indcruation theory would of been amazing since it's solid but they are cotinuing from the plothole filled ending.......How the hell are they supposed to explain everything in a few cutscenes, it will just feel forced

This is what people aren't getting, we aren't complaining again because we want more we just want what we've always wanted....a better ending.

To see Bioware CONTINUE from the horriable ME3 ending is just ridiculous, they think because it's free it will make everything better but the fact is they have still ignored our complaints because they know people will stick up for them because making this free will make them look good

ziggurcat4396d ago

no, people have get it - you're complaining again because you're a spoiled brat with a boated sense of entitlement.

and you're only proving yourself to be horribly illiterate (or you lack the ability to comprehend basic english) because they've stated quite clearly that the extra content will clarify some of the "plot holes."

you're also judging the content before any of its details have been made public. do you know how long the cutscenes will be? no. do you know how many cutscenes there'll be? no.

greyhaven334396d ago (Edited 4396d ago )

How dare you be reasonable, you should be jumping to conclusions and bitching and whining like all of these "fans"

adamant7154396d ago

You guys are such whiney little brats.. hahaha. The fact that youre getting free DLC should be good enough.

AFK Journey Review: A Rewarding Gacha Experience - ESTNN

Paul G Writes: "AFK Journey is a free open-world, role-playing gacha centered on creating your own team of powerful heroes. Here, you play as the reincarnation of the great mage Merlin, solving a mystery surrounding a malignant corruption.

On its surface, AFK Journey's gorgeous visuals, strategic gameplay and dynamic characters promise a wholly fun experience for new and old players alike. Journey even has a very easy pity system that makes getting rare heroes a breeze.

That said, AFK Journey still presents the usual flaws in big gacha entries, including a lack of accessibility features, bad voice direction and predatory microtransactions."
