Ninja Gaiden 4: What we want to see

CVG- "Ninja Gaiden 3 has finally been let loose on the world, but not everyone's happy it's here. As you'll see in our Ninja Gaiden 3 review round-up, opinion of the game has been mixed, with scores ranging from 8/10 to 3/10.

In our Ninja Gaiden 3 review we believed Ninja Gaiden 3 aspired "to be all things to all people, to offer accessibility beyond its hardcore roots", but concluded that the outcome was a bit hit or miss.

We've identified our issues with the latest entry in the acclaimed hack 'n' slash series and mused over our wishes for the next iteration. Here's what we want to see."

what we want to see is more of the original Ninja Gaiden, with a sprinkling in of Ninja Gaiden 2. or, to put it more bluntly, what the series was like before Hayashi got hold of it.

im a big ninja gaiden fan, but part 3 so far has just been ok
i felt more excited when i played part 1 and 2

will there be a part4?
who knows because of the feedback fans have given so far on 3

Seraphim4407d ago

Couldn't agree more. Ninja Gaiden & NG2 (also Sigma) were great. Granted the camera and some minor gripes can be had but in general both were what Fans & Action gamers want. You are never going to appeal to the masses so just do what you do best. Make a bloody good action game for your fans. Corporate idiots.

The game has not even been out a week, and you already thinking of Part IV. Let's hope Team Ninja takes a break from this franchise, and put all their attention to making DOA 5 a top notch fighter

I think this series needs to stay put in this gen.

gaiden 4 needs to have more rpg elements than all the other gaidens combined ( which gaiden 3 praticly ignored it ), add difficulty settings for all kinds of players ( giving players options is always the best way for a game sucess imo ) and an engrosing story that puts the player through many cool locations like gaiden 1 did.

I not a fan of the gaiden series but i know what it essencially needs to be.

Is there gonna be NG4? I heard Tecmo aren't doing well these days.

FinaLXiii4407d ago

Tecmo did made that gears of war clone...

DevilishSix4406d ago

If you are referring to Binary Domain that was made by the Yakuza guys and published by Sega.

Why We Need Ninja Gaiden 4

Ninja Gaiden hasn’t seen a full release since its third instalment, and that game definitely divided opinions. Personally, Toby loved Ninja Gaiden 3 (He did play Razor’s Edge) and he has been left wanting more of the ridiculous, bloody action the series has become known for. A new Ninja Gaiden probably won’t win any awards, nor will it sell particularly well, but there is a place in his heart for games like it. Devil’s Third was released fairly recently, and that goes someway to scratching the itch for an over-the-top, graphic action game, but it is not as good as Ninja

NG3 was a disaster.NG2 is still best one to date.

naruga2913d ago

we need Ninja Gaiden but with Itagaki making it ...Ninja gaiden 4 must be ultra hard as Ninja Gaiden black or 2 on X360 in order to restart their cult following ..even Devil s Third on Wii U was very good and very challenging (no matter mainstream media are saying)

OldGuyStillGaming2913d ago

The Wii U version is way better than the ps3/360 version

Wasn't the best in the series but is was vastly improved

Bnet3432913d ago

Yes, NG3 was not good as the others, but NG3 Razor's Edge was a nice little re-release so to speak. They cleaned up most of the problems in NG3 Razor's Edge.

I want NG4 but in the meant time can we please get the NG games backwards compatible! :(

NotEvenMyFinalForm2913d ago (Edited 2913d ago )

NG2 wasn't very good either. All NG2 did was separate progression into chapters and give up AI for a bigger number of enemies on screen.

The first Ninja Gaiden game still has one of the best AI controlled enemies in a hack and slash game and the world was all interconnected like the original DMC games. The game had puzzles and you could backtrack to do certain things too while NG2 and NG3 is all about going forward and pressing buttons from start to finish, they were dumbed-down games compared to the first.

NG2 is one of my favorite games of all time

The new Team Ninja doesn't seem like they fully understand what NG is supposed to be in my opinion.

I really disliked the Sigma versions and 3 was just terrible

Scrupuless2913d ago

Ninja Gaiden should most certainly be brought back, always, every-time.

Cool don't mess it up this time.

Abash3775d ago

I'm actually more excited about Yaiba: Ninja Gaiden Z than a potential Ninja Gaiden 4. Yaiba looks like awesome, over-the-top fun and I love how it doesn't take itself seriously

Majin-vegeta3775d ago

More like NG2 and less than the crap you guys called NG3.

BlackWolf3775d ago

Awesome!! Hope too see more soon.
