Alienware X51 Review (GodisaGeek)

GodisaGeek: "At around the size of an Xbox 360 and PlayStation 3, the Alienware X51 is definitely the smallest gaming PC we’ve ever reviewed. The form factor places the X51 somewhere between the console gaming and PC gaming markets in that, at the core, this is a gaming PC, but it’s no longer restricted to the office or bedroom. This is a gaming PC designed to feel right at home in the living room. Hook this beauty up with a wireless mouse and keyboard and you can game directly from the living room TV. With rumours of Valve’s impeding announcement of Steam Box, (bringing PC games to a console market), we wouldn’t be surprised if the Alienware X51 was the first compatible device."

I dont get it...O_o

It Pretty cool but id rather build my own computer then buy a OEM

NYC_Gamer4424d ago

Alienware products are always overpriced

StraightPath4424d ago

to be honest that is one sexy little beast with alot of power, but kinda expensive :/

kira424424d ago

That is what I mean, you could easily build a computer with the same specs for a lower price and not have to worry about OEM problems

'bringing PC games to a console market'

Er, in what universe does that make sense? It's still a PC, being smaller and sitting under the TV doesn't change that.

Alienware Launch ‘Oculus Ready PC’ Pre-Order Campaign

Alienware, a subsidiary of Dell, has today launched the official pre-order campaign for its line of ‘Oculus Ready’ PCs. Itself billing the machines as ‘VR Capable’, Alienware has two systems in the range at present based on Intel i5 and Intel i7 processors.

sinspirit3015d ago

They offer $200 off the pre-order of an Oculus. That's awesome. Hopefully this line up of PC's are fairly priced. VR needs all the marketing it can get

Tsuru3015d ago (Edited 3015d ago )

Alienware has always been about paying for the price of the brand. You can easily build most computers for alot less. Depending on the build, you could save way more then $200, even possibly paying for a oculus rift in full.

The fact that they are offering $200 off kinda implies these computers will be on the higher end of the price scale to justify the $200 off.

agreed Alienware, while still nice when it comes to gaming PC's, definitely overcharges for their builds.

I spent $1500 CDN on a PC that I would have to spend easily over $2000 for if it carried the name Alienware. And even then I may not have gotten a better build.

Yay 200 off Oculus, an extra 700 for an alienware logo.

The five best deals from Dell's leaked Black Friday sale

Black Friday is over a month away, but the deluge of deals and limited-time offers has begun. Scanned images of what's purported to be Dell's upcoming Black Friday promotion have emerged, and -- if the leak is accurate -- there are quite a few deals to be had.

a dell black friday sale turns into listing exclusive games for the ps4 even though the ps4 isn't even mentioned.

anyways the xbox one for $299 is a great price and so is the 4k tv but $150 for a laptop is pretty tempting even though it's not a very good one.
