I haven't yet played Mario Galaxy. Has anyone else here? What did you think?

ItsDubC5985d ago

I have played and am still currently playing it. I think anyone who plays games should play it because it is extremely fun and enjoyable. I wouldn't give the game a perfect 10 because of minor and rare camera issues, but a 9.8 or 9.9 would be my score if I were to review it. You really owe it to yourself to play it.

Thanks! Everything I've seen so far looks good, it's gotta go on the Christmas list.

@itsdubc
...i still cant figure out how anyone can convert their opinion intoo a number.
9.8 9.9? 10? does it matter....it all means ITS A GOOD game XD so give it a 10 already :P

...although i dont take numbers serious...a 9.8 will do XD

Assigning a number rating to a review can be difficult without some misrepresentation taking place.

Yes, regardless of what score I would give it, Mario Galaxy is an amazing experience which may only be trumped by my experience pwning you in Brawl =D

I will admit that I haven't used my Wii a whole lot recently, but given the number of titles that are available across other platforms, I can't really be blamed.

I finished all 120 stars the other day, and am now on a Luigi game. (Luigi is a little faster, jumps a little farther and higher, but is very slippery.) On a couple of the levels I had to go back to my Mario game and check to make sure they were the same. That's how much fun and fresh the replay value is for me this second time through so far. IMO, if you have a Wii, you should make it a point to get this game.

Is Mario trapped in the mansion the second time through?

TruthbeTold5984d ago

I haven't gotten that far yet, but I doubt it. I think that perhaps those few levels will just be redone. When you get letters from the Princess, they are addressed to Mario, and the Toad comments on that which is kind of funny. But you get 20 1 up mushrooms instead of 5 for it. Also, I noticed a small part regarding this that was poorly done. When you rescue the Toads that rebuild their ship, they mention to Luigi that they got lost with Luigi (Again) instead of saying something else. It's unfortunate that they didn't go the extra inch or so to completely differentiate the Mario and Luigi games, but it's a small thing. It's still incredibly fun.

Alright. If Luigi makes an appearance, this game is must-have.

My top 3 are Mario 3, Mario World and Mario 64. Mario Odyssey is also excellent, and I enjoyed Sunshine but didn't care for the Galaxy series.
