Geoff Keighley: Lots Of New Game Announcements Coming In March

Geoff Keighley, host of Spike’s GameTrailersTV ( GTTV ), is teasing new game reveals for next month.

Microsoft now has more First-Party studios then Sony.

the thing is: half of the microsoft game studios haven't released anything yet and a few of the others just aren't top tier developers. Who knows though, maybe all the unknown studios are really good and are coming out with AAA titles...

I can go on for a little long point being people who are saying 2012 has not games maybe it would help if you pay attention. For as good as fall 2013 i felt like the quality was not there but in 2013 we have some games that have had 3 plus years of development

I think when you are employee/part of a buissness like Gametrailers.com at his level, I'm sure that keeps him busy. So even being a 'regular gamer' would be pushing it. I do actually think the man games, guy was a tester on one of if not the first Leisure Suit Larry.

But enough sounding like I gobble the man's d***. The reason I like him, is despite being part of a big site like Gametrailers.com, he asks sharp questions that usually makes the reps nudge a little, not scripted PR questions. ie. When WiiU was announced, he flat out said/questioned about the PS3 and PSV being able to do the same thing.

I agree with you, he might seem kind of "fake" at times but he is a really good games journalist. He has called out Microsoft and Nintendo for some of their lackluster e3 performances before, plus that one time where he defended Mass Effect on a major news network(forgot which one)

Outside of "DMC", the title which people have a strong, angry emotions towards is undoubtedly, "Silent Hill: Book of Memories". The youtube video reveal for 0"Silent Hill: Book of Memories" was received with so much hateful comments and thumbs down, there was even a satirical video made by another YT channel,

I am really curious if we will get any kind of hardware reveals, hints, etc... Will we get Wii U specs more dialed in? Will Sony or MS use GDC to announce new titles or will this mostly be 3rd party stuff. Will OnLive garner any kind of real exclusivity announcement? What about the Valve's and ID's of the world...what will they have in store for us?

Tons of possibility but I try and keep my anticipation down as last years GDC was pretty muted for real big announcements even though there was lots of speculation leading into it. At the end of the day it really isnt an "announcement" kind of show.

There is a very strong possibility of a Star Wars games resurgence in 2012/2013 with Star Wars TOR being so successful.

There is evidence of lucasarts hiring for projects and Licensing Unreal Engine 3/4 for unknown projects.
