I prefer the original 3 Splinter Cells

ReservoirDog3164434d ago (Edited 4434d ago )

Chaos Theory is really really good but I don't think anything can really top MGS3. That's still my favorite game ever even after all these years.

I did hear good things about the Thief series though.

Zack_Fair4434d ago

Thief is like Splinter Cell in the medieval era.
It's really great.

Never enjoyed metal gear solid. Couldnt get over all the stupid noises. Bad voice acting and hiding in a box....

To me, Metal Gear Solid 3:Snake Eater is perhaps one of the greatest games I've ever played, EVER! It had everything I expect in a game and more. Great story that had me guessing till the very end, Characters that I fell in love with(the best one being The Boss) great soundtrack and addicting gameplay. The whole game to me is just flawless.

TooTall194434d ago

The End was my favorite boss. I liked MGS4 better, but both are some of my favorite games.

kingdavid4434d ago (Edited 4434d ago )

I would enjoy MGS 4 more if it had more gameplay. MGS 3 seemed to have the perfect balance between gameplay and story told through cutscenes. It also never extended its welcome.

But the actual gameplay, graphics and soundtrack of MGS 4 are just superb. I still think its one of the best games ive ever seen even if its 4 years old now.

ReservoirDog3164434d ago

Haha, the last fight with The Boss is one of my favorite fights ever. Especially when you only use CQC. It's so perfect.

SignifiedSix4434d ago

I'll just, you know? Go back in time and say the first one was the best, imo.
I played that game hours on end when i was a child. lol.
I wish i could go back in time. Those games are not as fun to me as they were back then. :'(

LX-General-Kaos4434d ago

My favorite of the bunch was Metal Gear 2. While 3 was an amazing game, part 2 holds a special place in my gaming heart.

The last hour on top of Arsenal Gear was one of the most epic gaming moments in history of the sport.

Since The Contra Revival Shows Konami Still Cares, How About A New Castlevania?

Hanzala from eXputer: "Contra: Operation Galuga is a classic revival done right, but why hasn't Konami done the same yet for the bigger and more popular Castlevania?"

shinoff218314d ago

Slowdown. Let them get these suikoden games done first. Alot of us are still waiting for those

XiNatsuDragnel14d ago

Castlevania fighting game for wii needs to be remade plz

Aphrodia13d ago

well, the new C ontra was made by Wayforward, who have been taking sooooo many of these classic franchises and making new iterations of them. Imo they aren't very good at it. And I don't see operation galuga being a large enough success to possibly give them Castlevania.

It’s almost like Metal Gear is a well known franchise

Horrible news more proof todays "gamer" is just a cow ready to be milked.

That mgs collection is no better than my ps3 copy but my ps3 copy has 0 server restrictions i always roll my eyes when reviewers or these new "youtube gamer" channels show off the information books on a webpage via a trash in game browser or the lack of controller support like it s a good thing.

Also GOG still has a better version mgs 1 or use the duck ps1 emulator.

Well time for the peace walker remaster pc port 480p 20fps needs a rtx 3090 or 6900xt to run with dunovo konami account then a govt id check.

just_looken70d ago (Edited 70d ago )

All the bonus content on the new collection needs a konami server to load them up if you pull your lan cord only the games will work but that is temp as those games are digital goods.

When i said digital i know there is a disc version games are on the disc i was referring to the pc version and the patches after the fact but yes ps5 has a disc version.

As long as it's not like Twin Snakes. And I hope they have the option to keep the original PSone voice tracks, which is a huge part of the appeal for me. The Twin Snakes voice tracks sounded worse, and had lame script changes as well.

Babadook799d ago

Of Course. Go straight to the near perfect source.

porkChop99d ago

It's likely going to be handled just like Delta.

just_looken99d ago (Edited 99d ago )

Its probably like resident evil 2 remake.

for those that do not know fans remade that game until the garage scene but then was shutdown by capcom a few years later bam RE2 hd remaster.
