Making The Case For Star Wars Battlefront III

As rumours circulate over whether or not it's in development, one gamer outlines why the series is special to him, and why he wants the rumours to become a reality.

They need to license the Frostbite engine and make this happen. It is a travesty it has not yet occurred. Lucasarts has been asleep at the wheel for years and they needed the recent shake up.

Here's to hoping it happens...and please do NOT use the Unreal engine.

The only thing the Frostbite engine would accomplish is blinding sunlight, overly-contrasting shadows, and an overuse of lens flare. And a blue tint.

Definately feel this guy, I love Battlefront too. Don't know how long we will have to wait for it. I'm sure the game would be a success.Come on Lucasarts give us Battlefront 3 and X-wing v/s Tie Fighter 2!

There won't ever be another X-wing or Tie-Fighter game. LucasArts are too afraid of pleasing their fans.. Like their stock is going to drop or something if star wars fans like their games..

"chasing shadows" thoes words discrives what the battlefront fans feel. battlefront 3 has the oportunity to be the call of duty killer, i mean back in the day battlefront was the main rival to halo so im pretty sure battlefront 3 can stand its ground with todays competition. my only suggestion i would make to the developers and lucasarts that are working (i hope) in this game is to keep the same gameplay that battlefront 2 had, keep the jedi/villin reward for the player (or the top player when online), create more crazy extra modes (like playing heros vs villins in tatooine), and the campaign cut scene should be seious and epic like in battlefront 2(the jedi temple mission cutscene gave me goosebumps). now some things that i thought about that would raise the bar and make star wars fans happy, and i actually thought about this when i was 11 and i told my little brother back in 2006, was to be able to put armies of any era in the star wars universe and that each army had their unique heros or villins, example: mandalorian army vs clone army, sith empire (kotor) vs droid army, rebels vs old republic, etc. that would so sweat. another suggestion to keep the classes system instead of the custom weaponry like star wars renegate squadron but keep the character personalization and make your soldier unique but with the same limitations as the standerd AI soldier. those are my thoughts of the perfect battlefront sequal.

I think that if we finally do see another Battlefront, it will most likely be done as a pay-to-win MMO type of game, with far less content than an actual game would have. I just have that feeling.. =\ But I hope I'm totally wrong about it.

I'd rather see a sequel to Jedi Starfighter myself :D
