PlayStation Vita: Doing Things Right, Right From The Start [GXC Review]

GXC: "Technology changes as fast as a wildfire burns; This is especially true in the mobile market. Every month, a new mobile device is released – Whether it is a new smart phone, a new tablet, or something else that can play your music, movies, games, and keep you in touch with your social life all while making you hot pancakes for breakfast. Okay, well maybe not the last part, but it’s only a matter of time before we get there!

With these trends, it’s no wonder that gaming companies are concerned about their handheld gaming devices in this ever evolving market. A large part of what used to be their domain and theirs alone now belongs to leaders in other mobile technology. So when Sony announced the successor to the PSP, the PlayStation Vita, back in 2011, it’s not surprising that some were a little hesitant, wondering if the handheld would measure up to the standards of today’s mobile society. Well rest assured, it has."

After having 1 now for almost a day, I have to say I'm looking forward to seeing the vita pushed, deff the best handheld so far

Knight_Cid4445d ago

how can you say its the best handheld ever when it just launched?

This is what I mean by over reacting.

Honestly the best handhelds were the ds and psp, second to the gba

can the 3ds and vita be right there? sure they can

7 years from now

GBA SP> GBA and I consider it a whole new system that back light and folding design were game changers.

I'm just going by how I feel, I don't care if you agree or not, this is the kind of handheld iv wanted for a long time, spend some time with one, plenty of quality games and a thriving online network already, that speaks volumes for what's to come

I own it, its nice, But for me to say its the best ever is ridiculous when theres at least 4 handhelds with amazing libraries

we dont know whats to come

Just got my Vita wifi model, 32 gb memory stick, carrying case, and protection plan along with it.

Didn't even preordered, I just walked in and they had three all lined up and I was so happy.

So far the only game I got was Uncharted, I wanted Shinobido but they didn't have it.

EKWB reportedly plagued with financial disarray many gaming pc's left without parts

EK Cooling allegedly has slipped itself into a hot soup of seemingly endless financial woes, where it has not paid its staff, suppliers, and contractors for many months as the company is facing liquidity problems and a surplus of inventory left unsold, stuck in the warehouse for a more extended period. Gamers Nexus investigated these claims made by former and current personnel, where he found trails of unpaid bills lasting as long as three to four months and unpaid raises that accumulated for almost a year.

EK Water Blocks has two entities—a Slovenian-based headquarters and a US-based subsidiary, EK Cooling Solutions. Steve narrated the series of events in detail, stating that the company was reportedly irresponsible and negligent regarding payment. Consequently, partners and employees are forced to share the burden of alleged mismanagement. It all begins with its extensive range of products, leading to a surplus of goods. EK has over 230 water blocks, 40 liquid cooling kits, 85 reservoirs, 40 pumps, 73 radiators, and 212 miscellaneous accessories.

Yes this is not about video games directly but indirectly this will impact the pc gaming/workstation space hard.

This company is massive one of two in the water cool space so if it goes poof then thousands out there have no spare parts or half built computers.

SO yeah i know not about a video game but think of it as amd leaving the pc space but this is ekwb that could be leaving water cooling in the pc space

Jayz2cents a supporter of there products also has issues

As someone that has built a watercooling rig. EK is big, but there's so many numerous watercooling part companies out there. EK's stuff isn't exactly amazing quality for the price compared to others either, it's just ok. Much like Corsair. The impact would be negligible long term. For perspective the majority of my parts are XSPC, at most I use EK for my gpu waterblocks and fittings. Both easily replaceable.
