May you find what you are looking for.
The above line is an old Chinese curse. The disparity between Western and Eastern culture is never more evident than in their way of insulting each other.
Our insults start with something like “your momma so fat…” Eastern insults start more along the lines of “venerable sir, may I have a moment of your time?”
This barbaric line might then be followed with “may you find what you are looking for”. If you are a douche you might interpret anything anybody says ever as an insult. In which case you’d throw your arms back and scream “Come at me bro!” while arching your shoulders and trying not to pee yourself.
If you were more reasonable you’d probably think it’s a sweet thing to say. Yes, I do hope I find what I’m looking for. You have yourself a nice day mister Miyagi (or Jackie Chan depending on your specific level of Asian racism).
Recently, players of Modern Warfare 3 and Warzone were met with a new bundle featuring the B.E.A.S.T. Glove, inspired by King Kong's armament in the Godzilla x Kong movie. However, the $80 price tag attached to this themed accessory left many Call of Duty fans feeling underwhelmed.
Morons that allow themselves to be milked continuously by this company is the definition of irony.
Spend more $$ and you'll end up In easier lobbies so you win both ways when ya spend that cash
Controversy in the COD community feels like it happens within an alternate timeline. Activision will take the piss with something, there will be a momentary fuss about it, and then they will forget about it and carry on anyway. Repeat this cycle literally every year for the rest of time.
I'm so tired of hearing about what they're doing with this game, its never going to change and it's never going to value the consumer over money, furthermore the people who engage so heavily in the microtransactions I guess allegedly are having a blast and can't wait to do it some more this year when the new version of the game drops.
Replaying Skyrim after 13 years is a reminder of the progress made in western RPGs over the last decade, but also what's been lost.
RPGs are often huge, sprawling endeavours. With limited playtime, we have to choose wisely, so here's the best western RPGs available today.
"I started playing games yesterday" the List... Meh!
How about a few RPGs that deserve some love instead?
1 - Alpha Protocol - Now on GOG
2 - else Heart.Break()
3 - Shadowrun Trilogy
4 - Wasteland 2
5 - UnderRail
6 - Tyranny
7 - Torment: Tides of Numenera
And for a bonus game that flew under the radar:
8 - Banishers: Ghosts of New Eden
Yup, skyrim is not the game to play if you are really into combat. They really gotta rethink the combat in any future elder scrolls games that might be made. Even if they just made it feel like your sword was actually cutting something or had a lock on system similar to dark/demon's souls. Ranged combat in elder scrolls isn't too bad, but they gotta fix melee combat if they want to make the game more enjoyable for everyone.
i couldnt agree more with everything on this list.
COD SP=stopped playing becuase it was just so similar everytime and i still to this day cannot follow the story in any 1 of them
AC=no comment, never played
Kratos=i used to love him but by number 3 he just seemed lost and that nonsense at the end of 3 with the max payne like segment, just awful
kingdom=lip syncing is beyond bad lol good thing i am mostly reading the subtitles anyway
skyrim=oh the combat, what i dont understand is they tried to make skyrim more "realistic" with every other aspect ( as much as a fantasy game could be ) but they didnt do anything to improve melee. after demon/dark souls they should have had a perfect template for how the combat should feel too
QTEs are t-t-t-terrible.
