Is this Terraria 2.0? Re-Logic's Finn Brice working on new project

Pixels or Death spent the day stalking Finn Brice's Twitter to bring you the details on his new project, which looks like Terraria in a flashier, less-pixelized skin. Does the world need another Terraria?

How can you make two games and say it won't effect the other one. I'm pretty sure if, for example, Notch and the Mojang team stuck to Minecraft and didn't have another two games going in development Minecraft would be pretty far in terms of updates/patches. He basicaly left Jeb to do most of the BIG 1.8 update, the biggest update in the game and he had 1...maybe 2 guys working on it.

If you've been on the fourms and seen what Re-Logic still has planned for Terraria then you know that they have a ton of stuff to do and judging by this it looks like now it could be a while before we see any of those updates.

The difference here, I think, is that Finn Brice appears to be doing his work outside of Re-Logic. At least that's how it seems. The great thing about Terraria is that Re-Logic is able to fire off big updates at a relatively fast pace with only a handful of employees.

Shoot, if it is another Terraria, it's a guaranteed buy from me... That game was freaking amazing!

Was? It is amazing right now evem! Especially how when you think you're nearly done with your game and finding stuff, you just keep finding more and more stuff to do! You cann early always get superior items to ones you have, unlike Minecraft where you get gold, some Diamond tools and you're just done. :P There's just so much depth to it.

Sorry, I stand corrected, it IS amazing. I enjoy Minecraft on a creative level. If I want to build something awesome I go Minecraft, if I want some epic adventuring and loot I go Terraria. XD

It's good to have both of them for things like that.

I would not mind a prettier Terraria. Amazing game and they put out an incredible amount of free content.

Its weird for me to play a terraria with enhanced graphics.

Im not sure why, but it looks weird.

delmartian4454d ago

I agree. The snow screenshot reminds me of a Facebook game or something.

Please no >_>

If it's as good as Terraria, I'll buy it. However, if they're updating all the graphics in Terraria to look like this, then I wouldn't play it....I find the current graphics charming.

This is not what I would call value for money spent. They give you quests in liveservice games to get you "re-engaged" with the monetization schemes or to get you hooked or so you at least spend some extra on skins and loot boxes. Then they dole out paltry points after you have already paid extra for whichever liveservice within a liveservice that you are already paying for. My worry is people can't actually be that stupid to fall for this, can they?

Absolutely nothing in this comment makes sense. At all.

anast620d ago (Edited 620d ago )

How does it not make sense? O thy god of reason, shine some evidence upon us. Ryse of Rome, ESO,and AC: Origins are all live service games, between them you can get 275 points. Liveservice games are made to keep people spending. Therefore, Gamepass is a live service and the points are for playing live service games.

It is not my problem that this does not make sense to you, it is absolutely your problem. I mean it is all your problem.

Hate Xbox but comments in every Xbox article 😂 without making sense smh

Bring the evidence and then your emoji might make sense.
