Europe Gets Trailer for The Last Story; North Americans Weep

Alexa Ray Corriea: If you’re like me, you are still deeply bitter that Nintendo has no planned North American release date for Mistalker’s action RPG The Last Story. Ahead of its February 24 release date for the Wii, the company has released a trailer featuring several storyline cutscenes as well as boss and normal battle footage and some gorgeous open world exploration.

Tears of joy thats it getting an english release for me to import. This might acually dethrone Lost Odyssey as the best jrpg this gen for me, especially since theyre both from sakaguchi (although i havent played xenoblade yet and i heard really good things about that). I really cant believe how amazing this game looks i forget its running on a wii. Its pretty damn impressive and the battle system looks prety cool. Its nice to see a jrpg using something like a cover system in a game. Cant wait.

I played some of the Japanese version of this game. Honestly it's the best RPG I've played this generation. I didn't finish though in the hopes that I'll be able to play it in english so I can actually understand the story.

well japanese rpgs dont sell very well over here, outside rare exceptions of course. Final Fantasy was the one series that actually broke into american mainstream.

I love the timing of this game. I'm just finishing up Xenoblade after 180 hours, and then this just as awesome-looking game gets released a month later. I'll fill in the gap with some Secret of Mana on VC.
