and you're right pc really isn't all about the graphics, it's more about the indies for me, but when talking to pc gamers about buying a console version I usually have the impression it suddenly gets all about graphics.

with multiplatform games graphics have never been an issue to me i couldnt care less that skyrim looks so much worse on ps3 than pc and its laggy as fuck cus guess what im still enjoying it. and the same thing apllies with diablo, for me im not loosing anything by playing it on my console it doesnt make much difference in my opinion. i only ever take notice of graphics on exclusives because if a game is made for one console in mind it should be able to use the full graphical power of that console wich ever it may be.

Take a breath there, guy. It's been in practically PC only development for years, it's going to be fine. This is most likely just due to Activision pressuring Blizzard to bring it to consoles, knowing that the console crowd are more likely to be suckered in to buying after-market DLC and premium items in-game. I doubt it will make any real head-way on consoles anyway, they prefer slightly more "bombastic" experiences like COD (which is, I'm sure, the crowd Activision hope to attract).

probably what took so long to release. I built a new gaming rig last year and have only been playing pc games for about a year Minus Civ 4. This and Starcraft 2 are one the main reasons why I jumped on the PC Ship. Glad Console owners will be able to experience this game because it looks awesome.

I wonder if Console's will be able to play along side PC gamers online with this? Would be interesting to say the least. Will be picking this up for PC though just because it seems like its tailored for keyboard and mouse. If I can load my PC character onto my Playstation network ID then I may purchase for both.

If you mean like cross game platform, is possible.
Xbox 360 had that with Shadowrun, but it was closed because PC had an advantage over Xbox 360 players because of the controllers.

And also Minecraft, Universe at War (but using only GFWL), Lost Planet: ECC (only for GFWL). So, as you can see, is possible on Xbox 360, but PC Players have to use the horrible service of Games for Windows Live to have cross platform with Xbox 360.
So is more of a closed platform.

With PS3 and PC is different, so I can see more chances with PSN.
Portal 2, Counter Strike GO (M&K Support), DUST 514 (M&K Support) have cross platform with PC.

D3 for me will be played on 360 with my friends running a party and loot dropping happily around me as I smash the minions of evil with my tricked out barbarian. Ive never played diablo before but aren't you supposed to select an enemy before you attack it like dota or wow? And aren't you supposed to be able to place down certain spells in an area you want?

Lol at the people saying PC gaming is redundant and taking sales figures for that. Sales figures are for retail. Steam has reported more than 100% increase in sales every year for the past 7 years. Pc gaming is growing if anything, and growing fast.

blizzard games are near perfection, starcraft 2 is honestly, the best competitive game i have ever played, and i am a hardcore bf3, bf2, bf2142 player, i love those games, but they got nothing on SC2.

i hope for next gen consoles they do a starcraft 2 port as well, and world of warcraft could be great on console though, for many classes a bit tricky.

what next gen consoles need is NATIVE support for mouse and keyboard in every game (or almost, fighting games, sports and third person action not really needed)

give people choice, freedom, options!

thats the one thing i have always disliked about consoles is the restrictive nature.

no mods, forced peripherals and overpriced dlc

other than that, they are very convienient

i am of the mindset, that if you love games, you should not limit yourself to a paticular platform, unless it is money that is stopping you(and we all should be sypathetic to that plight in this economy) you really should try to have all the consoles and a decent gaming rig.
