Stewart Gilray, CEO of the company behind the Oddworld: Strangers Wrath HD remake has commented that not all games deserve to be remade.
17 years after its initial release, Oddworld: Stranger's Wrath has returned -- and has never been better than this.
If you missed the news, Oddworld: Stranger’s Wrath is out now on the Switch via the Nintendo eShop. But there’s a physical edition that is now available for pre-order at Amazon.
As one of the last major releases for the original Xbox, Oddworld: Stranger's Wrath is also one of the most memorable games on the system, taking the series to new places with a cross between third-person platforming and first-person shooting. With its unique weapons system, open-ended mission design and fascinating story, it's a game that always felt special and still holds up today - and it's recently received an impressive Switch conversion.
shut up, just please shut up.. sure it's good that it was remade and new players could be welcomed with this masterpiece... I really hope for a sequel...
Neither does the garbage that is called Oddworld..
I think both games deserve some remake action. Why keep modern players from playing classics?
Aside from emulators, it's the only way a lot of gamers will get the chance to play some of the best games of last generation. I say bring it on!
I never played BGaE until the remake. Absolutely loved it so that is just a silly remark.
I own and have completed both. I personally enjoyed Beyond Good and Evil better but Oddworld was much more visually updated. I'm fine with both games being remade. Some games age better than others.
