IGN: Electronic Arts-owned DICE might not have won the sales battle against Activision's Call of Duty: Modern Warfare 3, but the acclaimed game studio has won over millions of shooter fans. Battlefield 3 offers a very different multiplayer experience, serving up a sandbox filled with the latest vehicles, jets and technology-equipped ground troops. Now that the dust has settled and the developer has had some time to take a breather from developing new DLC for the game, DICE executive producer Patrick Bach looks back at one of the biggest games of 2011, in this exclusive interview.
Whether it comes through remakes or a new game with a similar style, DICE should aim to revive the glory days of Battlefield 3 and Bad Company 2.
hmmm I think there will be no old BF glory days for EA since they are loyal to their greediness and laziness :D
You're asking for a miracle with EA that will never happen unless they can exploit the money making schemes behind it.

Like Patrick says: they freaking nailed it, i am so addicted to this game right now. Battlefield 3 & Uncharted 3 are the only to Multiplayer games i play right now.
*What's something that you would change if you had been given an extra few months of development time?
You can always do a bit more polish with extra time, of course. I wouldn't have changed any significant features with more time, though.
I wish they would have released BF3 a few weeks later to iron out some of the problems it has right now my main issue the VOIP issue i have no input lag PS3 version BTW.
Other than that the game is freaking awesome it's like a prostitute that you pick and she give's you the good stuff:P and you just can't get enoughh of her so you go back for some more xD.
Some guns are a little overpowered, but that's about it, the core gameplay is nailed. One thing that needs fixed? Bigger TDM maps, way too many people on them. Nothing else needs changed for me though, although I really hate the time it takes to do stuff like reload and crouch and get up from being prone and all that, it's so slow.
I have MW3 still sitting in the shrink-wrap. I'm all in for BF3. The biggest improvement I'd like to see is a higher player count (PS3 player). I miss the epic size of the BF2 battles on my PC.
Battlefield 3 = Best shooter of the year!!!
Sorry Red Orchestra 2 but BF3 is above and beyond the Osfront!!
BF3 > RO2 > MW3!!
