Super Meat Boy 2 announced, "never on PS3"

Team Meat have announced via tweet that they’re working on Super Meat Boy 2, and that the first game has sold over a million copies.

Some of those simplified and small levels can take you hours of trying while your fingers bleed because they're so well designed and asks for perfection out of you.

The title should probably be changed, too. Because, uh....this isn't an announcement of SMB2, nor did they state that the NEW GAME will not be on ps3 (just not SMB).

They once said they wanted to put Super Meat Boy on the PS3 but Sony didnt want it. This new games and Super Meat Boy might be on the Wii U since they wanted SMB on WiiWare but the game size was to big.

An exclusive is something that "excludes" someone or something else.

"This club is exclusive." Many people might be allowed at the club, but some people aren't.

Thus, if Super Meat Boy is "exclusive" to PC and Xbox 360, somebody is being excluded. That somebody is the PS3 and the Wii.

How does THAT work in such a way in which neither MS nor Nintendo mind that the other is able to have it on the system, when they didn't say this earlier about why it wouldn't be on the PS3?

Sounds like to me they are still trying to deny PS3 gamers the right to play this game and are trying to make up whatever asinine excuse they can to keep the press (who seem to NEVER push game companies to answer their questions truthfully because they are scared of being blacklisted) off of their asses about the issue. I feel like they changed their story (if there WAS something exclusive going on, why not just say that at the start instead of trying to mislead and flamebait a group of gamers?).

Unfortunately, their cowardness (yes, Team Meat are cowards for doing this to the gamers) has been rewarded ten fold by people who bought their game knowing that they did this to a group of gamers (perhaps even BECAUSE of it for some fanboyish reasons). It's because of this that they might think that they will be rewarded in the future if the PS3 is not included in the systems of choice for their newer games. I know it's a great game and all, but I have refused to buy the game for the reasons stated above, and I've stuck to that. Unless Team Meat can prove to me that they are not absolute douchebags to the PS3 gamers and actually be truthful, then they won't ever see my money for ANY game they put out. It's kind of sad to see gamers these days reward shit like this with their dollars. They've rewarded people like EA and Activision for the crap they pull like the Online Passes and shit. Why not reward Team Meat for excluding a certain demographic from being able to play this game? Makes them just as bad as the people that pull shit like this!

That title is wrong. Team Meat didn't say anything about making a Super Meat Boy 2 and they never said "never coming to PS3." Whoever posted the article hasn't changed the title to reflect that fact.

They fixed this, but they have said something about the Twitter thing (which is still in the article despite what you have said), so there is still THAT question lingering.

It still seems to me that they are being stupid about this decision and are not being truthful. I had a chance to interview them last year around this time, but I didn't have the headset to be able to conduct the interview (which fucking annoyed me because I wanted to do that interview SO BAD) about this PS3 issue, when they made the "Sony doesn't want it" excuse. It sounds like they are doing what Valve did when THEY didn't want to develop on the PS3: changing they excuse when the last one gets destroyed by people who know better than to fall for the routine. When the MS/Nintendo exclusive thing gets destroyed like it should and probably will, what other excuse will they use for not putting it on PS3 then?

Simply put, they need to sit down with someone who will ask them hard questions and answer them with clarity and truthfulness. This should be true of any game company, and I don't know why some game companies choose to circle jerk their potential customers. Apparently, SMB seems to be popular, so why keep potential sales out of your ledger because you can't be bothered to try to make things work, and then keep changing the lies towards your consumers and those you're screwing over as to why you are screwing them over? Can't understand that attitude.

Not exclusive, can get it on PC/Steam.

It doesn't matter about specs either. Anyone, yes ANYONE, can run this game on their PCs, not intensive at all.

But as I said when they announced this game wasn't coming to PS3, because "Sony didn't seem very interested" is one of the most immature, silliest reasons I could have heard and after hearing this news... Things haven't changed.

OK, it says that SMB won't come to PS3 due to "exclusivity"-rights . I hope the next game will, because it seemed weird to me at first as I thought that they didn't want to put it on PS3 due to the somewhat misleading title. I got it through the Humble Bundle and with a 360 controller it's awesome. (My reason for thinking it's odd putting it on 360 and not PS3 is that MS apparently has very strict rules and aren't as co-operative as Sony seems to be with Indie developers, and more platforms means more money)
