They seem to have all bases covered; mentioned a whole lot of stuff I'm hyped for in the coming months. They've even got Downpour there, so that makes me happy.

Planetside 2
STALKER 2
Arma III

Jonathan Blow's The Witness.

Always great to see another Raven in the midst...^^

DaveMan4496d ago

There's also rumored 2012 games that they forgot to mention;

Epic Mickey 2
Lord of Shadows 2
God of War 4
Adrift
Thief 4
Game Informers new game announcement (on Jan 5th)
Sony Super Smash Brawl game
Medal of Honor 2
Persona 5

But yeah, while this year might not be as STACKED as 2011, there's some BIGGER games in 2012 with GTA V, Last Guardian, The Last of Us, Bioshock Infinite, etc.

jdfoster4496d ago

Why would they put in rumoured games? Doesn't make much sense...

Capt-FuzzyPants4496d ago

Tomb Raider looks really goo. Where was Starhawk i might have missed it but i dont think i did.

"Final Fantasy XIII-2 looks to take all the things we loved about the first game, and fix those parts gamers criticized. Arriving end of January for Xbox 360 and PS3, it features time travel, Lightning's cute sister, and some bigger more epic battles. Hell yes."

It's cringe worthy trying to read some one that excited for the sequel. Unless you loved the first one and your a FF13 fan then you will be dissapointed, Square never act on concerns when it comes from it's fanbase, they listen to them but never act. If they did act on such things 1) We wouldn't be getting this sequel and 2) They would be starting development on a FF8 remake round about now after the highly successful launch of the FF7 remake they released last year. The whole listening thing is Square being clever trying to sucker people into buying the game again...

"Oh look Square have said they've improved the problems with FF13, I'll buy it" <------ That's how it would go.

DaveMan4496d ago

How about you hear impressions from other people who've actually PLAYED THE GAME (like the japanease who seem to like it very much compared to XIII...barring a stupid ending) instead of creating your own pre conceived judgement

TurretKiller4496d ago

"like the japanease who seem to like it very much compared to XIII"

Well it seems you've heard differen'tly to me and I bet, other people, the only good things I've heard about FF13-2 are the reviews from the two Japanese magazines Famitsu and Dengeki PlayStation. Yet we can all agree here that those magazines always give high scores to games especialy if it's a japanese game, hell they both give FF13 a good score.

Apparently I've heard the only reason you'll like it is if you enjoyed the first one. Basicaly that gives me the full impression that they havent done much to the game, proving MrWiggles point about Square not "acting" on what they#ve listened to. Hell even the sales were quite low are both platforms.

It's cringe-worthy when people make generalizations based on virtually nothing.

Have you seen any of the live streams of people playing the game, and how much the people watching enjoyed it?

What the hell are you talking about? There's no FFVII remake, and there shouldn't be, in my opinion. That game has already seen more attention than anything else in the franchise. Listening to the fans isn't the same as doing everything the fans want you to.

Your opinion is a carbon-copy of so many others criticizing Square Enix and their games because they're making some sort of attempt at changing how they make their games, instead of say, pulling an Activision and releasing the same thing every time. Hell, how many turn-based JRPGS do you want to play?

The Last Of Us Series Has Remarkable Potential For Spin-Offs

Najam from eXputer writes "It's time fore a new installment in the series, not another pointless remaster."

anast83d ago

They are working on something new. Not to be rude but it is impossibility stupid to think ND next major announcement is going to be a remaster or their next Last of Us entry is going to be another remaster.

AlterRecs80d ago

I think this is in response to them releasing a remaster for the sequel, a game that didn't need a remaster.

Basically a "why did you put out a remaster no one asked for when you have all there options available"

anast80d ago

They remaster is to put out something quick while they are deving new stuff. I don't get how people can be so static.

AlterRecs79d ago

There's no news about a third game being in production, you're just assuming that they're working on something that they aren't

anast79d ago

When they release the news to start the hype-train, you can give me my props then.

DrDoomer83d ago

I want an alternate timeline spin-off, where part 2 never happened.

CrimsonWing6983d ago

They’ve already done Remasters of 1 and 2… what else is there to Remaster?

AlterRecs80d ago

Considering they remastered the first game twice, who knows lol

CrimsonWing6980d ago

That was a Remake. I guess they could do that to 2, but man…. They should wait a couple generations so it can look like a major upgrade.

Cyberpunk and No Man's Sky have to be up there. We're lucky and cursed, equally, to have games that can be updated now. For folks old enough to remember the Sega/SNES into PS1 and even 2 eras, if a game came out that was half baked (*cough*Angel of Darkness*cough*) that was it, no redemption. At the same time, having the option for updates shouldn't be an excuse for half assing games.

thorstein84d ago

I remember when the Nintendo Seal of Approval meant something.

All those games had to release without bugs.

shinoff218384d ago

Comebacks shouldnt be a thing in videogames. Just saying.
