2011 has been and gone, and while most (not all) of the games from the year will probably be forgotten fairly quickly, it was a good year to be a gamer. Now that 2012 is here it’s time to look ahead to what us gamer’s have in store for ourselves this year. I had originally thought this would be a dull year, with a lot of the big franchises on their gap year or wrapping their stories up in last year’s installment, but once I had a look at what was scheduled for release this year I realised that this year may be even better than the last, and it’s full of follow-ups to franchises that were started a couple of years ago, or more, in some cases.
Everyone knows Twisted Metal... I mean literally everyone! Whether it is simply a childhood classic for you, or one of the worst, mind-corrupting disgraces to entertainment you can think of, you've at least heard of this iconic title.
Twinfinite: “War may never change, but the prices of rare games do!”
"And lastly, famous Boston Red Sox pitcher Curt Schilling helped to create the action-RPG’s setting. What’s really fascinating, though, is that the game was partially financed by taxpayers from Rhode Island (which allegedly lost the state millions of dollars). Yikes!"
1. Now infamous Schilling
2. No allegedly, it did. And they couldn't pay it back.
3. What really lost the money wasn't the SP release but the MMO they were working on. This was supposed to be an introduction into the MMO world.
I hate counting limited editions for these lists. I mean, they're made to be rare and expensive. It's far more interesting to hear about the NCAAs (even if most people know that one already) and the El Chavos than some massive hit that came with a $200 statue at retail.
Most Xbox games don’t hold as much value compared to other systems. Kameo, Blue Dragon, Last Remnant , and a handful or 2 of other games that I kept.
The WellPlayed crew gathers to pitch an appropriately deranged set of options for the future of Twisted Metal.
All I ask for is a new Twisted Metal that allows flat screen & PSVR2 cross play that also supports a wheel.
Would be heaven.
They need to get the enemy AI balance right. Thats what made 2 the best in the series. Black was abysmal in that dept.
You don't. Do sequels. If you've gotta reboot, might as well do a new IP. God of War is the only game I can say that did a successful reboot
I dont even have to read this article to know alot of games are missing
OMG! A website actually put my most anticipated game of 2012 on their top 10.
Woohoo! Twisted Metal FTW!
