Why I Hope Uncharted 4 Doesn't Happen Soon

Let me get it out there first, I haven’t been the biggest fan of the ps3. In fact, I waited until the fall of 2008 to finally cave in and purchase the system. I was a proud owner of a used 60 GB, quite rare at the time. But I only purchased one game, MGS4. Certainly a great game, but it was the one title that piqued my interest...

I actually thought Uncharted 3 grew Drakes character very well. Why is he motivated to treasure hunt? Because he has been raised as an orphan in a cruel Catholic orphanage and needed an escape route. He picked Sir Francis Drake. I mean how much exposition does this guy need. It's all there hidden cleverly in the dialogu.

With regards to Marlowe he may of missed the point of cerebral villains.

I totally agree. The fact that UC3 has the author asking questions such as why does Drake do what he does and what is his real name shows how much depth was added to the character. It has me more excited for UC4 than I was for UC3, no longer is this simply a treasure hunting game for pure fame and fortune but a game with a human and flawed protagonist who is clearly damaged goods.

I loved Uncharted 3. People just think it's cool to dislike really high profile games. It happened with GTA4, it happened with Halo 3, and it's happening with Uncharted 3. I agree that Naughty Dog should take a break with Uncharted, and all signs point to the fact they already are with The Last of Us being unveiled. However, Uncharted 1, 2, 3, have been absolutely incredible games and probably my favorite new IP of this generation right next to Assassin's Creed.

IMO (being a HUGE AC fan), Assassin's needs to end next year, but not Uncharted.

The difference being that AC follows a large story arc spanning over 5 games, all stories connecting together in a meaningful way.

However, Uncharted feels more episodic, each game isnt connected together so tightly with an overall story arc. Which is why I would love there to be more games...as it wouldnt ruin anything already established.

AC however...is feeling a bit like lost, always leaving you hanging for more.

Again..this is from someone who considered Revelations as a personal 2011 GOTY, I hope that Ac3 if the final game for this gen, and we have an epic and satisfying conclusion.

"It lacked sex, added unnecessary cameos, and let’s not kid ourselves… there wasn’t even a final boss."

Stopped reading here, this probably says all you need to know about the author.

Ranking the Devil May Cry Series

VGChartz's Mark Nielsen: "Upon finally finishing Devil May Cry 5 recently - after it spent several years on my “I’ll play that soon” list - I considered giving it a fittingly-named Late Look article. However, considering that this was indeed the final piece I was missing in the DMC puzzle, I decided to instead take this opportunity to take a look back at the entirety of this genre-defining series and rank the entries. What also made this a particularly tempting notion was that while most high-profile series have developed fairly evenly over time, with a few bumps on the road, the history of Devil May Cry has, at least in my eyes, been an absolute roller coaster, with everything from total disasters to action game gold."

First to last for me...3,4,5,1,2.

3,1,4,5 to me, never played 2. 5 gameplay is amazing but level design was really disappointing to me, just a bunch of plain arenas, the story felt like a worse written rehash of the 3rd and the charater models looked weird ( specially the ladies ). Another problem with 5 was that there was not enough content for 3 charaters so I could never really familiarize with any of them

Tales Of Graces Ƒ Retro Review – Holding Out For a Hero

Gary Green said: Namco Bandai heard the call of many fans asking for the PlayStation release of Tales of Graces which was originally released seemingly exclusively for the Wii back in 2009. If you’re acquainted with the Tales series then Graces f won’t be something entirely new to you, yet if you’re a newcomer then you’ll find a plethora of gameplay mechanics and nuances that distinguish this series from other JRPGs. While the game finds itself following the traditional archetype of JRPGs, such as a somewhat clichéd story, Graces has something to offer to both veterans and newcomers alike.
