New Alan Wake is Quentin Tarantino Style

Giga.de: New Alan Wake American Nightmare details.

-Arizona / Route 66 environment - takes place in an episode out of Night Springs.

- contains a lot of information about events after the first game.

- If the original Alan Wake was a combination of Stephen King and Lostia, the American Nightmare is more Quentin Tarantino From Dusk Till Dawn-style.

- The game's story takes many hours to share. In addition, it can be found in an explosive action-packed arcade mode called "Fight Till Dawn". It got thrown into the middle of eerie abandoned places. The player is armed with an extensive arsenal of sawn shotguns robust automatic weapons, light torches, and, of course, a flashlight. The enemy is growing wave of wave and become stronger. If you gonna be until dawn, then you win, Lehto says.

- Remedy confirmed that the American Nightmare should not be the last adventure Alan Wake. [...] the follow-up is surely coming, but the details and schedules can not yet be revealed.

But Robert Rodreguez did From Dusk Til Dawn.... Quentin Tarantino co starred and i think executive produced

Nonetheless American Nightmare looks to be an improvement on AW.... but i heard it was an XBLA title so im concerned about the games length

And the Fight Til Dawn mode sounds badass

Edit:

Oh no the quality is clearly there, just the game length, but as late gamer said , the price should match it

Even if it's short, the price SHOULD match it.

Micro_Sony4518d ago

Well the only reason you should be worry about the length is if its priced at above $30.

Just becuase its and XBLA that does not mean that the quality suffers and Dead Raising is proof of that.

And I am more than sure that if this sells well they will do another XBLA title until they complete AW 2. This is what Valve wanted to do with Half Life, instead of making people wait 2 to 3 years per game they wanted to them in episodes so we would not have to wait but that did not go according to plan : ( still waiting on ep 3.

The trailer had some of the worst voice acting I've heard in a while. Hopefully it's not indicative of the final product.

Heading should have been: NEW ALAN WAKE IS SHIT!

This could be a "Dead Rising:Case Zero" type of deal, which was fantastic. It was also great quality, I think this is a test to see how well it does and then we'll get a full sequel, though it will probably be on the next Xbox.

Alan Wake 2 is Where the Franchise Needs to go

Welcome back Link Cable Gaming fans, by far one of my favourite surprises of the Game Awards was the surprise announcement of Alan Wake 2. Alan Wake developed by Remedy Entertainment, and released in May 2010 on the Xbox 360, Alan Wake 2 will finally be brought back. While we were treated just this year to the surprise Alan Wake Remastered earlier in October 2021, or Alan Wake’s American Nightmare in February 2012, fans never got a true sequel. What will the future of the Alan Wake franchise look like?

Perfect! a sequel that will remind me of the smell of mildew and damp coffee grounds with a side of deadly premonition.

Where else would the franchise go? Seems like a sure thing. American Nightmare should be in the remake though.

You know I was thinking alternatives right?
For all it could have been, you know how the sequel market is sometimes, weird spin - offs, spiritual successors, reimagining, a VR walking simulator (bleh) and all that.
I like the idea of an evolved sequel way more

I guess Alan Wake got a redesign lol.
Because I thought it was Jared Leto lol
