"There has been a sudden revitalization of a lot of series taking place in the game industry the past few years. For the most part it is great to see long desired sequels like Diablo 3 finally coming to fruition but along with the idea to follow up on games that fans love is the idea to cash in on the exact same thing once again by slapping HD on the end of the title. These are called “HD remakes”."
Originally launched in 2011, El Shaddai: Ascension of the Metatron is coming to Nintendo Switch, so It's time to look back at the original.
Still have my ps3 copies. Bought it at launch and another one when I found it cheap and in perfect condition about 10 years ago. I wouldn’t buy it on Switch but if they made a PS5 version I would. I still have one of my PS3 Fats hooked up so good to go either way.
Id play it again on the switch. I wished my 360 version was bc but this is still a good way to play.
The artist behind Fallout 4’s Deathclaw reveals just how bad things got back when Bethesda took over the series
People are stupid I get it. No one should feel unsafe,
But I think they need to talk about why they cut so many corners during the development process and why none of their games ever look current. And why they think all of this is okay while they charge full price.
CGM Writes: While we were over at PAX East, we were able to sit down with Goichi Suda (Suda51) and talk about the upcoming remaster of Shadows of the Damned
With the turn DmC is taking, I am glad they gave me the HD Devil May Cry's, that way I can still enjoy DMC.
OMG! What a biased bull**** article. He bashes sony for only remaking successfull franchises, but then praised microsoft for the great job of remaking halo. I believe that a lot more people have already played halo ce then ico or shadow of the colossus. I believe sony did a wonderfull job remaking those classics in full hd and that was an important move to get more people aware of team ico's games, before the last guardian come out.
Dumb biased article is dumb.
Well Halo CE is one of the only remakes that actually updates the graphics to current standards. I'm not saying the others are bad, but most seem like a quick cash-in with minimal effort.
"So, what's the point of repurchasing?"
Well, unlike the retard author, people don't like to play their favorite games from the PS2 era on a (typically) large HDTV that ends up stretching the image of a 480p game. We like being able to play our games and not go, "what the hell was that supposed to be?" because a lack of clarity.
And the point of HD remakes isn't to remake a game like DMC is doing now, it's to REMAKE IT IN HD. Hence the reason it's called a "HD REMAKE" rather than a "remake".
It's sad when with today's pathetic journalism that I can say that this is one of the worst "articles" I've read in recent memory.
