Skyrim is in the hands of millions of players right now, and for some, it's already considered Game of the Year. Bethesda created a game that can be played endlessly and for many, many months - so should the team behind 38 Studios' Kingdoms of Amalur: Reckoning be concerned even though their game launches a few months later, in early 2012?
Replaying Skyrim after 13 years is a reminder of the progress made in western RPGs over the last decade, but also what's been lost.
RPGs are often huge, sprawling endeavours. With limited playtime, we have to choose wisely, so here's the best western RPGs available today.
"I started playing games yesterday" the List... Meh!

A new Partner Spotlight Sale is now live on the Switch eShop, including Skyrim, lowest price ever for Bomb Rush Cyberfunk, and more.
I would say no b/c ppl will still go out and pick up Amalur:Reckoning regardless on Skyrim. Sure A:R probably won't get as much sell figures as Skryim but I still think the game will do great.
My biggest fear with this game is that it's a MMO botch job. A MMO project converted to single player does not sound promising. From what I've seen of the vids online the world seem to have that MMO zone-ish feel to it.
I have my eye on kingdom of amalur for awhile i just hope the ps3 version dont comeout bad, this game seem more fit for the pc.
This game was so awesome at E3. Such a hidden gem.
