Is Metal Gear Solid 5 A Title Hideo Kojima Should Be Making?

GamerFitNation's Gregory Laporte writes about whether Hideo Kojima Should be making Metal Gear Solid 5 or another title.

"Recently, it was said during an interview with officialplaystationmagazine where Hideo Kojima talked about Metal Gear Solid 5. He said that if they make it his team would be doing it. Hideo Kojima also has another project titled project ogre. Well when I heard this there was one thing that comes to my mind. The Zone of the Enders franchise is a great PlayStation classic that is seeing a re-release with the Zone of the Enders collection coming out sometime in the near future."

Honestly, no. He should be grooming younger devs at this point. Supporting their gaming ideas. Stop the apparent stagnations that seems to be effecting the Japanese gaming industry.

True, but he did that with Rising and after (seemingly) going through all sorts of development issues and problems has now put in someone who has been with KP for over 15 years and demoted Matsuyama from his position as director. That's of course not to say that the whole young team he put behind Rising has failed or that they will but you've got to wonder what Kojima is thinking at the moment about whether he has a team that can make a good enough game for him.

Honestly I would rather he make Zone of Enderz. Don't get me wrong I love Metal Gear but it's time for ZoE. Before you disagree remember this man takes years to create a title. If he starts MG5 we'd wait forever for Zoe 3

I totally agree and feel the same. I said the same thing in anther article and got a few disagrees.

MGS is great but it's time to make another ZoE game. There are about 6 MGS game from Kojima and only 2 ZoE.

So maybe MGS5 after ZoE3.

No, just because he started the series doesn't always mean he should keep working on. Input yes but to make it his absolute focus, that's not a must.

Kojima is one of my favorite dev but I would still love to see him expand on other ideas and onto other stories. Last thing any fan wants is to see him burnout.

It's like listening to grandpa's story of that one time back in the day with each time he adds a little more. You love that old man but sometimes you'll like to hear about another story with another time.
