I love the game, but a 10 it is not. A 9 perhaps. Why? The bugs should always knock off a point.

Abriael4540d ago

Says who? :D

If the game is so good that the goods overwhelms the few glitches by a long shot, there's no reason why those should "knock off a point".

In this I completely agree with Chad. What skyrim brings to the table isn't there in any other game, not even Oblivion and Fallout 3. There's no reason to knock off anything for a few bugs that in no way ruin the experience.

RavageX4540d ago

Then we will agree to disagree. A perfect score isn't something the game should get. 9, 9.5, but not a 10. The game is not without problems.

I'm also the kind of person who probably wouldn't give any game a perfect score.

@RavageX: then why having a scale that goes up to 10 if you're not going to use it?

I've been playing Skyrim for a while, and it sure is giving me 10 out of 10 in fun. So yeah, we'll have to agree to disagree.

Im kind of with you on this.

That being said, the game is excellent and significant steps past Fallout 3 and Oblivion.

I'm Replaying Skyrim (again), and So Should You

Replaying Skyrim after 13 years is a reminder of the progress made in western RPGs over the last decade, but also what's been lost.

anast14d ago

I tried, but it's a poorly made game that insults its customers.

lucian22914d ago

nah, only mods make it decent, and even then it's bad, and this is after i modded for at least 3 years

Nittdarko14d ago

Funnily enough, I'm about to play it for the first time in VR with 1000 mods to make the game playable, as is the Bethesda way

"I started playing games yesterday" the List... Meh!

How about a few RPGs that deserve some love instead?
1 - Alpha Protocol - Now on GOG
2 - else Heart.Break()
3 - Shadowrun Trilogy
4 - Wasteland 2
5 - UnderRail
6 - Tyranny
7 - Torment: Tides of Numenera

And for a bonus game that flew under the radar:
8 - Banishers: Ghosts of New Eden

Loved Alpha Protocol in all it's glorious jank. Great game.

SimpleSlave14d ago (Edited 14d ago )

Not only glorious jank, but the idea that the story can completely change depending on what you do, or say, or side with, makes it one of the most forward thinking games ever. The amount of story permutation is the equivalent of a Hitman level but in Story Form. And it wasn't just that the story changed, no, it was that you met completely new characters, or missed them, depending on your choices. Made Mass Effect feel static in comparison.

Alpha Protocol was absolutely glorious, indeed. And it was, and still is, more Next Gen than most anything out there these days. In this regard at least.

Pity.
