lol, this is not a bad thing...

when i get this game in a year (GOTY Edition) there will be so many mods :D yay!

The only mod I really care for right now is a mod for increased tree and grass draw distance. Anything other than the common trees is drawn rather close and if you get a view from a big hill or such then any open plains tend to look very gamebryo

Other than that maybe a few increased immersion mods. Perhaps a mod so you need to eat and drink to survive (kind of like New Vegas) and a mod where not resting in a bed causes your overall stamina bar size to decrease day by day. I know they are not to everyone's flavour but I would go for them. May have a go at making them myself if they don't appear in the coming months

I for one will always play it vanilla before modding.

The craftsmen at Bethesda deserve it.

Aggesan4542d ago

@limewax Change of tree, grass and objekt draw distance is easily done by editing the ini files. First thing i did. U can change the Lod as well, and tons of other stuff too.

I'd like something to fix the sharp fps drops in some areas.. Does anyone else get huge framerate drops when entering riverwood from the first entrance? I'm on pc btw.

I want a mod where you take frost damage when swimming in icy waters. For some reason, being able to swim through icy waters with no penalty just really irks me.

I've never liked mods, its the idea that your not playing the game as it was intended. The cosmetics are cute like these bikini changes. The bikinis in PS3 version are not bad as is.

For me, mods come after I feel as if I'm exhausting the default content. There are also a few things that I would like to see that aren't already included. Besides, all mods can be disabled at any time, so it's not like your missing anything. And it's not the same as using cheats.

Admit it, wouldn't you like a spell crafting mod?

I'm Replaying Skyrim (again), and So Should You

Replaying Skyrim after 13 years is a reminder of the progress made in western RPGs over the last decade, but also what's been lost.

anast13d ago

I tried, but it's a poorly made game that insults its customers.

lucian22913d ago

nah, only mods make it decent, and even then it's bad, and this is after i modded for at least 3 years

Nittdarko13d ago

Funnily enough, I'm about to play it for the first time in VR with 1000 mods to make the game playable, as is the Bethesda way

"I started playing games yesterday" the List... Meh!

How about a few RPGs that deserve some love instead?
1 - Alpha Protocol - Now on GOG
2 - else Heart.Break()
3 - Shadowrun Trilogy
4 - Wasteland 2
5 - UnderRail
6 - Tyranny
7 - Torment: Tides of Numenera

And for a bonus game that flew under the radar:
8 - Banishers: Ghosts of New Eden

Loved Alpha Protocol in all it's glorious jank. Great game.

SimpleSlave13d ago (Edited 13d ago )

Not only glorious jank, but the idea that the story can completely change depending on what you do, or say, or side with, makes it one of the most forward thinking games ever. The amount of story permutation is the equivalent of a Hitman level but in Story Form. And it wasn't just that the story changed, no, it was that you met completely new characters, or missed them, depending on your choices. Made Mass Effect feel static in comparison.

Alpha Protocol was absolutely glorious, indeed. And it was, and still is, more Next Gen than most anything out there these days. In this regard at least.

Pity.
