There are Too Many Good Games Out There…Just Saying

GOS: "I would like to discuss an issue (if you really want to call it one) that gamers like myself might have. Do you find it hard to complete games?

Do you feel like you do not have enough time to gain trophies/achievements, or do you just stick to playing one game online?

What could be the cause of not being able to experience a game all the way through? I do not think the problem is in our gaming habits; it is that there are way too many good games out there. If you are a gamer with a range of tastes, then you will know exactly what I’m talking about."

Yeah, it seems like less titles got pushed this year which makes it seem extra crowded.

VampiricDragon4548d ago

not really.

Most games are generic same looking pieces of shit.

DonaldBeck4548d ago

im barely playing mass effect 2, i beat uncharted 3, still havent beat dark souls, i want to go back to heavy rain, i beat shadow of the colossus but not ico, i need to get skyrim, battlefield 3, assassins creed revelations, mass effect 3, twisted metal, and the mgs hd collection. yeah, there are tons of great games out there.

HeavenlySnipes4548d ago

I haven't even finished Ass Creed 2, haven't touched RDR since my data was erased and my 15 hour save was deleted, and I haven't scratched the surface of DEMONS souls let alone dark souls

DonaldBeck4548d ago

demons souls/dark souls will make your face like this

kma2k4548d ago

Tales of Kenzera: Zau conveys its somber themes with nuance and passion. It's just a shame the gameplay doesn't always match those highs.

I fully expect to see this game at Xbox Showcase this year.

Tacoboto18h ago

Me too.

I expect Hellblade 2 to be the start of a consistent stream of UE5 XGS titles. It's basically their default engine, save for ForzaTech and the proprietary engines in use at Activision and Bethesda.

purple10117h ago

I fully expected to see it released about 3 year ago, but each to their own

Lightning7716h ago(Edited 16h ago)

There's no way it would release in 2021 especially when it was announced at the VGA's 2020.

purple10115h ago

@lightning, that’s when the first trailer was shown, but it was known to be in development much earlier and Xbox fans were tooting it to be released years ago, the initiative studio formed in 2018, and to my knowledge have not released a game

That’s 6 years and all you got is a trailer and some empty promises
Good one from Microsoft, yet again.

Lightning7713h ago(Edited 13h ago)

Such is game development, long developmental cycles is one of the big black eyes of the industry. I don't see you complaining about Wolverine that got announced in 2021, releasing in 2026 and only got one trailer.

purple1015h ago

@ lightning
Nice try but for one, 2021 - 2025 would only be 5 years not 6,

And for two insomniac have developed multiple games or have multiple games in development over that time, and the initiative only have the 1 game to be concerned with

For three, we all know the quality Wolverine will be and although I do hope perfect dark is good, it’s unlikely to be as good as insomniacs proven track record

Good thing they got Crystal Dynamics to make it, at least they know how to make a game that has 60 fps.
