The trailer was meant to hint at what is in the game. Everything in that trailer is there for a purpose. To summarise the trailer. GTA V will take the best from GTA IV and San Andreas and put them together. Its the GTA many people wanted IV to be. So therefore houses, planes, minigames, vehicle customisation, jets, mountains and countryside mixed with more realistic physics, better driving, better shooting and better multiplayer. Oh and hookers! What more could you want?

I don't see how the trailer was boring. It was short and full of action and revealed quite a bit about the game.

After watching the trailer and then watching a video of Tommy Vercetti on youtube, they sound almost the same with the new one sounding older. Listen carefully around 0:15 in the trailer and then compare it to the voice in the first few seconds of the vid.

Overall I give this trailer a 2/10, it was just really boring.

Well if it's coming out for 360 and PS3, what more could they do with outdated hardware? It's a sandbox game for one, so it can only look so good on the hardware that runs it. Can't blame Rockstar for that.

No... This game has no relation to GTA IV, therefore it is a whole new game and deserves a whole new title. If they used your idea, then it would be an expansion like TBOGT, which it obviously is not.

Graphics aren't the only things that make a sequel. There's obviously going to be some pretty massive gameplay improvements to justify it.

It's a teaser trailer. It's not a launch trailer with all the bells and whistles. It's just showing you whats up. I, personally, loved it. It was rather boring, but in each scene it showed us something new that it's doing. The jets, massive highways, blimps, dogs, mountains. It'll be glorious.

Disagree with setting it in SA again before doing another Vice city. Now there goes the chance of a SA stories on the vita. So if they make a vita game they should set it in Vice city again but a whole new map. I just hope GTA 5 controls are better and that they dont use the gta4/RDR shooting and running mechanics. I don't know how the hell Rockstar did it, but Los Santos looks even more intricately detailed than GTA IV's Liberty City. The trailer just goes to show how many light years ahead of every other open world developer Rockstar truly is. GTA V looks like a next gen game compared to the competition.

I have to disagree about Santos looking more intricate. It looks more like San Andreas than GTA IV. Obviously they were showing off the PC version with slight shader enhancement (and to maintain framerates).

But GTA IV's Liberty City was the most intricately designed game I've ever played. Every single square inch seemed to be packed and felt very, very alive.

From what they showed GTA V looks more like a skin-job than what GTA IV was to San Andreas. I'm not just talking about graphics but the actual aesthetics. But that's just what I gather from the teaser. The original GTA IV teaser seemed to show more city density and visual depth.

Also, modesign is right, with the IceEnhancer GTA IV looks better than that GTA V teaser (graphically). But a real comparison can't be done until until an ENB mod releases for GTA V.

I think without a doubt the main character is Tommy Vercetti. The voice is very similar, if not identical to Tommy from Vice City and the actor who does the voice for Tommy is Ray Liotta. If you've seen movies with him you'll recognize the voice.

In the trailer the person talking said he wants to retirefrom what he was doing and be a good guy for once. The main character is older than the characters in the previous games. The setting of the game is in present day, while Vice City was in based in the 80s. That's a good 25-30 year difference. Tommy Vercetti just make sense as the main character for this game.

As long as this has FUN original GTA-style gameplay unlike its predecessor, I can see GTA V being the greatest GTA game in the series and possibly one of the greatest open world games of all time. The scale of the new Los Santos is incredible, and we don't even know if we're also going to Las Venturas and San Fierro yet. Plus the story looks like it's going to connect all of the series' main characters into one story, which REALLY gets me excited. It also looks like Tommy Vercetti(Guy talking and looking out into the city), CJ(Guy running from the cops in the alleyway), and possibly even Lance Vance(Guy walking with weird sweater) were spotted in the trailer. Plus GTA IV had an easter egg that points to Niko heading to San Andreas( http://www.blogcdn.com/www.... Beyond excited for this game.

I shiver to think how many hours I have sunk into San Andreas . I would love to see them include all the cities in this new one, counties etc. and mini games .........In essence all the fun stuff that Saints is trying so hard to nail. I think the guy in the video is without doubt tommy vercetti. A lot of people speculate that the voice actor is different so Rockstar can either save money or because they couldn't get Ray Liotta back. I believe that they had a voice actor do lines for the trailer, because if it was Ray Liotta that would give away the protagonist right away, and we all know how rockstar likes to build suspense.

I'm seriously dissapointed in the presentation of this game. the game itsself looks gorgeous, but the way its presented is just sad. Even with a serious tone, I expected the scarface of the 21st century...I mean can you believe Rockstar had millions of gamers in suspence for a full week, just to have us hear some confused caucasian in his early 40's rant on about his cancelled early retirement plans?? . The man sounded tired and depressed, if not depressing. The game itsself is probably pretty good but after gta 4 it seems like they've learned nothing about presentation.
But hey, atleast laid off americans with mental problems and an unexpressed scarface fantasy now have a game character they can relate to... "Thank you Rockstar".

There are three playable characters in GTA5:

Richie - A middle-aged mob enforcer from Liberty City, now living in Los Santos to start a new life with his children and a sizable nest egg. After he loses most his money to a Bernie Madoff-esque con man, he must turn back to his old life of crime to provide for his sons.

Miguel - An ex-gangbanger gone straight, now working as a bodyguard for a pompous movie star in the glitz and glamor of Vinewood. Although he's rubbing elbows with the powerful elite of the city, he quickly learns that the privileged few at the top aren't that different from the thugs he used to deal with at the bottom.

Clayton - An African-American in his early-30s, now working at Clucking Bell and living with his mother in the projects after losing his house and job to the recession. A good man at heart but desperate times call for desperate measures and he must turn to less reputable means to survive.

Each character represents a different rung of the social structure in America: Miguel, with his run-ins with movie producers and the politically powerful, is the upper class. Richie, a father struggling to provide for his family, is the middle class. Clayton is the lower class, who've been hit the hardest by the recession and feel abandoned by the tiers above them.

You can switch between characters at will but can't get ahead only playing as one. You might beat 2 or 3 of Richie's missions, but before the story will move on, you'll have to beat the missions the other two men currently have.

Since the game deals so heavily with the recession, the villains aren't your stereotypical gangsters. Key antagonists include the aforementioned Bernie Maddoff-esque scammer, an actor-turned-politician gone mad with power and a crooked bank executive using bailout money to take advantage of the shambolic state of the real estate market.

At certain points in the game, the storylines of all three characters collide. These collisions with each other aren't always positive and while you may see each character as a protagonist, they may view each other as enemies.
