Battlefield 3 or Uncharted 3 - Which has your attention this week?

CVG: Over the next week and a half both Uncharted 3 and Battlefield 3 hit store shelves, putting many of us in the unfortunate position of having to pledge our money, time and commitment to one over the other.

Ordinarily it would be a simple case of thinking about which genre or series makes us look most like Jack Nicholson's Joker, picking that and then merrily skipping all the way home. But this year that's easier said than done.

The love that both these games will get from me will be short as on 11/11/11 Skyrim will have 800+ hours of my life.

and Zelda Skyward Sword will have 400+ hours of my life.

Can you people explain what can you do in the elder scrolls series that you spend these ridiculous amount of hours? My maximum time was 3 hours in Oblivion. Any explanations? Are these games THAT HUGE?

Yes indeed! There are a few titles coming out that day. For me it will be Saints Row the Third. That game will make me remove TES:Skyrim from my tray. But not for long though.

Luckily Battlefield came out one week and U3 comes out the next....then the next months will be filled with Online Mp for both games

Ignore it dude. N4G is a dark, confusing place. I too am enjoying BF3s multiplayer. I normally don't like military shooters but blowing up tanks is so much fun and I like the objective based nature. I'm the guy guarding the flag that has already been taken. Mainly because i'm not a very good offensive player.

Wow surprise at tha amount of people picking UC3 here on N4G.But its UC3 for me myself have been waiting for this game since tha summer beta.

Having played tha MP for this past month jumping right into tha single player hardcore mode.Then its back to MP because I dont know about ya'll but UC3 MP is becoming very special...

Both. I got Battlefield 3 on PS3 on thursday. Having a blast with it. Then Uncharted 3 next week will be great. The two of them together will provide me with plenty of multiplayer enjoyment for months along with my usual fighting games. So they can both work together in my personal gaming ecosystem. No need to choose one over the other in my opinion.

To be honest Uncharted 3 as a single player game is worth it imo. Plus I have plenty of other games on pre-order atm like Sonic Generations, Disgaea 4, Skyward Sword, Super Mario 3D Land etc so, plenty to play. And I can give time for all of them without ruining my life outside of gaming haha
