This has been for me the best year in gaming ever!

Between this, Uncharted 3, Halo Anniversary, Modern Warfare 3, BatMan AA, Assassins Creed Revelations, Zelda, BattelField 3 and more i dont even know what to choose anymore. Leave alone the rest part of the year with Games Like Dead Space 2, Killzone 3, Forza 4, Gears 3, Infamous 2...

Serious can any year in the future beat this ??

Beheading...hopefully combat beheading will be in too

lastdual4562d ago (Edited 4562d ago )

There's a perk that enables decapitation, but severing limbs won't be as over-the-top as in Fallout (which is a good thing).

The new footage in this preview just looks amazing. 11-11-11 can't come soon enough!

This has been an amazing year for games next year we got Mass Effect 3 , Halo 4 , GTA5 to look forward to aswell.

Does anyone know when Last Guardian is coming out :P But for now Skyrim will take peoples social life lol

BushLitter4562d ago

I don't think GTA 5 has been confirmed for next year.

There is also Bioshock: Infinite, Max Payne 3, Darksiders 2 and Tomb Raider. Hopefully Dante's Inferno 2 gets announced for next year. I loved that game. I found it more difficult than God of War 3.

spunnups4562d ago

Don't forget Starhawk and Twisted Metal as well. If these are the last few years of the current gen consoles, they are definitely going out with a bang.

looks like runescape..... IN 3D

ZombieAssassin4562d ago

LoL, I just got done trying to play that game for the first time in years. Although I don't really see the similarities besides the fantasy setting.

ZombieAssassin4562d ago

I wish I was getting this right away it looks F-ing amazing, oh well at least I'll see sunlight for a bit longer.

Just curious has any Ps3 game play been shown yet? Every time I try to look it up on YouTube it just says its Pc/Xbox/ps3 game play.

I'm Replaying Skyrim (again), and So Should You

Replaying Skyrim after 13 years is a reminder of the progress made in western RPGs over the last decade, but also what's been lost.

anast17d ago

I tried, but it's a poorly made game that insults its customers.

lucian22917d ago

nah, only mods make it decent, and even then it's bad, and this is after i modded for at least 3 years

Nittdarko17d ago

Funnily enough, I'm about to play it for the first time in VR with 1000 mods to make the game playable, as is the Bethesda way

The 7 Best Western RPGs: Immersive Adventures

"I started playing games yesterday" the List... Meh!

How about a few RPGs that deserve some love instead?
1 - Alpha Protocol - Now on GOG
2 - else Heart.Break()
3 - Shadowrun Trilogy
4 - Wasteland 2
5 - UnderRail
6 - Tyranny
7 - Torment: Tides of Numenera

And for a bonus game that flew under the radar:
8 - Banishers: Ghosts of New Eden

Loved Alpha Protocol in all it's glorious jank. Great game.

SimpleSlave17d ago (Edited 17d ago )

Not only glorious jank, but the idea that the story can completely change depending on what you do, or say, or side with, makes it one of the most forward thinking games ever. The amount of story permutation is the equivalent of a Hitman level but in Story Form. And it wasn't just that the story changed, no, it was that you met completely new characters, or missed them, depending on your choices. Made Mass Effect feel static in comparison.

Alpha Protocol was absolutely glorious, indeed. And it was, and still is, more Next Gen than most anything out there these days. In this regard at least.

Pity.
