Wow! I sure know I will past on this deal. Not that MW3 will be bad, but I will not trade in my battlefield just to get MW3. That doesn't mean other people won't. Either way the people that buy both will have the best of both worlds and pick which one they think is better.

Edit: This promotion is good for those that are on the fence on which one to get or on the fence from the BF3 beta. I used the beta to the fullest and that is why I will be getting BF3.

GAME have been doing deals like these for weeks with other games. It was 99p to get gears. I can't remember which games you had to trade in. These seems the new trend for retailers selling new games now. By X for pennies if you trade in a,b or c

Thats a pretty good deal if you think about it, you can rinse BF3 for 2-3 weeks and if the multiplayer isn't to your liking you can simply switch to CoD for 99p.

I'll most likely stick with BF3 but for those who don;t like it thats a cracking deal.

There are a lot of variables with regards to second-hand games. I picked up Uncharted 2 pre-owned, I now have 3 pre-ordered. Funnily enough so do all my friends after playing my copy. Chances are none of us would have it pre-ordered if I had never bought. :)

Putting people off from buying pre-owned can impact future sales.

Oh the used cars analogy doesn't really work, most parts on a car that isn't new can more often than not be picked up for a lot less from a 3rd party supplier and any garage can pretty much service any car. :)

Killstreaks and "rewards" in CoD is one of the things I hate in an online shooter. Just makes the whole experience more arcade and I really don't like that.

Besides, the MP will be hacked to oblivion on day one IF it even will work properly on day one unlike every other COD ever released.

Oh and, BF3 isn't like BFBC2. It is different. Things have been improved upon and the controls are a bit different as well.

I understand why people don't get Battlefield games, you see it requires thinking and strategic play as opposed to CoD which is just run and gun mindlessly.

Nah lol i played the sh** out of BC2 and in the beta for bf3 i maxed out the recon and got pretty damn far in assault. It feels almost exactly the same to me just with better graphics really. Im not saying that CoD is going to be revolutionary compared to the last game or anything but i at least like the intensity and the story(not much of a story in either game) alot better in the MW campaigns. Plus Cod mp is much more competitive in my mind.

They might loose if gamers stick with Battlefield and not buying MW3, but only if that becomes a global trend. And they ends up with huge numbers of unsold MW3s

On one side we got people defending MW3 and the other flaming it. Likewise for BF3. All the while, both sides plagued with flop4brains grammar e.g. " An re-skinned ".

Regardless of whether some are just trolling and some are just fanboys, each side is right in some ways.

Single player-wise, who gives a flying rats motherf***, we all know we're getting these game for MP so without further delay..

Yes MW3 is MW2 in essence with new maps/weapons/perks. Its full of down syndromes half the time looking to use the best setup possible with the least amount of effort for gaining kills (largely a developer issue, either IW is stupid or purposefully leave disbalances so it remains noob-friendly since this is now a franchise with money as its only main goal). But what I failed to see is what else could be done with the game to not ruin it to all Hell and then have everyone saying "this isn't a COD game".

BF3 is also a re skin with more features, boring/unbalanced in terms of sniping largly due to the sheer size of some maps, and objective based gameplay. But again with realism as its goal how could it not be boring for some people when they walk into a map filled with 24/7 campers.

Finally, wish I knew why some people defend each side, clearly two different games. Its like people that play Unreal Tourny saying Ghost Recon games are boring and slow, and Ghost Recon players saying Unreal players are no skill/run and gun spastics. By saying this game is good/bad you achieve nothing, at least if you call yourself a hardcore gamer or even a fanboy of something, go play that game and get good at it, leave N4G for a day, then a week, and maybe a month/year and hopefully you too will come to a realization I did.
