Pixels or Death's Adam Harshberger did not find Deus Ex:Human Revolution to his liking. He was angry. He wrote this review. A choice excerpt:
"WHAT I AM ARGUING: is that the game lacks magnitude, impact, or meaning. Sons of Liberty and Human Revolution have a lot in common but they do not share the same swagger. DX:HR feels like a system that you get to be a variable in; Adam Jensen is just an integer. Adam Harshberger does not want to be an integer. Harshberger, that devil, he wants to be legitimately creeped the fuck out by a maniacal ending. He wants to be so enthralled by a game’s mechanics that he honestly thinks he might be cut out to be a member of FOXHOUND – or whatever the 23 year old translation of that is.
Sons of Liberty is a story – albeit an absolutely ridiculous one – that you get to be a character in. Every move you make with Snake reverberates with narrative consequence and urgency. And even for as whacked-out as MGS2’s plot is, it still feels more honest than DX:HR."
GF365: "Here are our picks for the eight best sci-fi RPGs. Science fiction is a great genre for any medium of entertainment. These games are the best in the genre."
The og deus ex is magical. Im also very exited about mass effect legendary edition from the gp. Its next on my playlist never played mass effect game before.
Why aren't there more? A Star Trek RPG for one. Or something with non humanoid aliens?
I really hope Naughty Dog is doing a Sci-Fi game. As a lover all most things RPG I would love to see Naughty Dog quality in an RPG.
The Adventure games genre is insanely massive and creative, so here is the in-depth list of its Best and greatest titles to play in 2022.
Here's a list of Xbox 360/PS3 games that would be great on the Nintendo Switch (at a modest, reasonable price of course). These games could really flourish if given a new lease on life, introducing a new generation to their greatness.
I'm sure R* knows the Nintendo Switch install base and probably dont really care to port over more R* games to the Nintendo Switch tho i gotta say playing GTA4 & RDR1 on the go on the Nintendo Switch would be dope
I would buy Lollipop Chainsaw, Alice Madness Returns, Enslaved, Splatter House, Brutal Legends, Dante's Inferno, and Dead Space for sure if they were ported to the Switch.
Deus Ex Human Revolution would be a great title to The Holy Grail of All Consoles aka The Nintendo Switch*. Also Haze Remastered, Grand Theft Auto 4 and 5 Remastered, Silent Hill HD Collection, Max Payne 3 Remastered, Call of Duty World At War Remastered, The Orange Box Remastered, Halo Master Chief Collection, Left 4 Dead 1 and 2 Remastered, Metal Gear Solid 4 Remastered, Afro Samurai Remastered, Demons Souls Remastered, Xmen Destiny Remastered, Jack and Daxter Collection, Def Jam Icon Remake, Folklore Remastered, Spiderman Edge of Time Remastered, Persona 5 remastered, the list goes on. (*Best Selling Console of All Time)
Seriously? Isn't it time Nintendo make a Switch successor? I mean they have the sales and money.
Sorry, but giving this game a 40% rating is a failure on the part of the reviewer. I can understand your issues with the story, but the game is solid, works great on all platforms, has a ton of options, and just doesn't warrant enough to be rated so low.
I cannot understand what you are looking for a game. This game is great. I finished it a few hours ago and I couldn't put it down whenever I got the free time.
The reason Jensen is an integer is because the story demands it of him. This is the start of all the BS that take place in this world. Jensen really has no reason to hate something so much to actually be anything more. Jensen throughout the story is in a sense trying to discover everything for the first time as well as trying to discover himself in the process. Is he just a lapdog for a company or is he something greater?
The ride is an honest one for what the story presents. A 2/5 wow! I won't even click on the site and add a hit to the counter. The reviewer has lost creditably, you don't rate a game that is well done as low as you would a bargain bin game. A 3 makes it a rental for fans, a 2 makes it a must miss and this game is anything but a miss.
Funny that he bashes DE:HR with MGS story when I see DE:HR paying a lot of homage to MGS, especially with the style of the endings (which I enjoyed much, though I consider MGS narrative still better).
Dont bother , it's the usual "i'm different , i'm a rebel" oddball review ...
