Clearly the announcement that the Nintendo 3DS would be getting Monster Hunter Tri G and Monster Hunter 4 didn’t go down too well with Sony given it’s one of the biggest franchises in Japan. Here’s Shuhei Yoshida, president of Sony Computer Entertainment Worldwide Studios response as to why the game isn’t appearing on Sony systems:
The third generation of Monster Hunter drags the series back to western shores because well, why not? In fact you could say that three really has been the magic number. Unless you live in Japan in which case one and two were also pretty fantastic and if anything three has been nothing short of a crushing disappointment.
‘But wait!’ Voletic hears you scream, ‘Monster Hunter 4 Ultimate has been recently announced, why are you addressing the third iteration?’ Because background knowledge is a beautiful thing and Voletic has a word count to fill.
My problem with MH is the slow paced and plain combat system, if they make it more dynamic count me in.
They need a full console release, launch the CryEngine one for PC for PS4/XO. And make sure to bring it stateside.
YouTuber Rahmen has created an epic music mashup that even the great Mozart himself would be proud of! This video shows you what happens when classical music and Monster Hunter Collide!

Are dedicated Handheld Game Systems doomed?
We cover the major news from the last week in gaming and then move on to our topic of the week - The State of Handheld Gaming in the current market.
The State of handheld gaming is really good. Always has been and always will be. Those who think otherwise fail to look at history and learn from it.
There is no doom and gloom within the gaming industry, the media just makes it seem like there is so people read their BS.
That is quite a sly answer
Be assured, Monster Hunter will come to Vita. Why would Sony put the game in the montage at their Pre-TGS Briefing if there was not a MH game for Vita in existence.
My theory is that Tri-G will be exclusive to 3DS. Meanwhile Monster Hunter 4 will be multiplatform. With the Vita's networking and online capabilities, Capcom would be beyond foolish not to put MH4 on Vita.

"Capcom's share price fell on Tuesday after it announced that the next version in the series, Monster Hunter 4, would be offered on Nintendo's 3DS handheld, which is not seen as a likely hit with hardcore gamers."
Didn't expect that Capcom's share fell for announcing MH on 3DS......... : |
That's good. Always excited about 3DS announcements. Something to play.
