Sonic Generations Gets November 4 Release Date

VG247: Sega’s announced this evening that Sonic Generations will release in the UK on November 4. The date comes part of the publisher’s latest UK release schedule today. The dates are for the PS3 and 360 versions; Sega wouldn’t give VG247 a firm date for the 3DS version other than just November.

Thats why you have just one bubble cuz the nonsenses u post. There's no way I'm gonna miss this same as a lot of people following Sonic. And seeing as this could be the best Sonic game so far it will sell.

Despite his one bubble he's actually probably right on this one. This is a terrible time to release this game. Its going to be surrounded by AAA games on all the different consoles.

PS3 - Uncharted 3, BF3, MW3, Skyrim
360 - BF3, Halo CE, MW3, Skyrim
Wii - Zelda Skyward Sword
3DS - Mario Kart or Mario 3DS Land (can't remember which is Nov)

That is a lot of heavy hitting games for Sonic to be going up against with just about every gaming demographic covered. Not sure how well Sonic will do up against all of that. This isn't to say the game won't be good, but outselling those games? I'm not so sure.

Too many companies are releasing games in November

March/April is also a good time to release a game.

Some games won't sell as they(the company that owned them) predicted. Better to play it safe than sorry.

Ergg, sandwhiched between Battlefield 3, Uncharted 3, and Modern Warfare 3?

Then followed up by Skyrim, Halo: Anniversary, Assassin's Creed: Revelations, Saints Row: The Third, and the Metal Gear Solid Collection HD.

I know that the Sonic fanbase is strong, but Halo strong? Call of Duty strong? Battlefield strong? Skyim, Assasin's Creed, Uncharted strong?

Put in in December, I know I'd hit that quick for some sweet Sonic goodness over the holidays.

Another thing I'll say is it seems a little pricey. If this was a $20 downloadable title, it would sell like hotcakes!

This should release in January or February. I want this to do well if it's a good Sonic game. Only thing in February is Twisted Metal, so Sonic Generations could do well then. This looks fantastic, so if I have the money, I'll pick it up.

Pretty sure I can only afford Uncharted 3 and Skyrim, though.

i love all the comments, "should have released it in December" for example....its releasing November so does that mean those same people who were going to purchase it in December suddenly cant because it came out a month earlier???? i dont think so, it will still be on the shelves either way
