Top 5 games to buy this month

After the summer which, although brought a few blockbuster titles, saw nothing other than a few stale releases, September has seen the introduction of countless games which certainly warrant your hard earned cash.

That site is a joke. for months all they talked about is ps3 exclusive games, for better or worst. Now they fail to mention any ps3 exclusives games when suggesting games to buy this month, and instead recommend Dead Island, which is a piece of crap technically.

It makes sense to mention PS3 exclusives if say you're discussing similar games in a genre no matter the platform, but when you make a 'must buy' list and your magazine/site is xbox orientated why the hell would you add a game that's exclusive to another system? Have a bit of common sense.

People on this forum are a joke. They can't seem to realize that it's referring only to Xbox titles (some multiplat). And they think that any site that only speaks about one platform is purely a fanboy site.

Lately all that I'm hearing is NAG NAG NAG on N4G.com. Hell, I'm even starting to nag about stupid stuff.

Gears 3 is a possibility, but eh, I need money for Dak souls, got Dead island already. Reason for Gears over Resistance is my friends. Otherwise it would be 50/50, prob Resistance since the online is free and I don't have Gold atm.

I find this site laughable. All they ever talk about is PS3 this, PS3 that. Seriously, I don't understand why they're called msxbox-world when all they seem to care about is PS3.

So even though yea, an Xbox site wouldn't list PS3 games, this particular site is always bringing up Ps3 games, always talking about PS3 so what's stopping them now? LMAO!

I couldn't agree more. I've been saying this for awhile now, for an Xbox site, they sure write a lot of articles about the PS3.

I've still got games from Christmas I haven't had time to play. Portal 2 is sitting on the top of the pile at the moment, untouched - and yet still I'll be grabbing Gears 3 without a doubt and Resistance 3 will end up in my console eventually, but I don't feel like I'm in a hurry to play.

Dead Island has really been under my radar up until recently, but the more I hear, the more I like and I've got a few friends now who vouch for it. Again, I'm not in a rush to play it though.

EDIT: Will say, I am enjoying Dead Island. 7/10 from me, but it aint a crap game, even if it has its problems :)

I agree on the 7/10.

I really like it but there is part of me that finds it almost repetitive to the point of boredom. I love the locale and story. The game is fun and can get intense when you start to get overwhelemd...but the side quests and such can get very repetitive. Its like Fallout3 and Far Cry2 had a Zombie baby!

Its good but I feel like it could have been better...weapons break down wayyy too fast too.

Careful bud, If achievements/trophies stop popping up then your game isn't saving! I got 3 trophies that didn't pop up, went back on later and I was back to a level 10 (Lost over 3 hours of my save)

I was at 53% story completion when I quit earlier. I just loaded up my game and now I'm at 39%. Very angry right now. This game is selling well, and these devs don't deserve it. 5/10 from me.

Well I cant afford a ton of games this month, but Gears Of War 3 is certainly one I've had pre ordered for many months now. I also managed to get Rise Of Nightmares as well. Dead Island looks solid, but it'll have to wait.

I agree with iWishTifaWasReal: The PS3 tag should not be there. Why? Because even though some of these games are available on PS3, the writer is choosing his games from the perspective of an Xbox fan/owner. The PS3 is not a consideration for this list. PS3 games in September (sorry if I miss some): Resistance 3, ICO & Shadow of the Colossus Collection, God of War Origins Collection, Disgaea 4, Atelier Totori, Rune Factory, White Knight Chronicles 2... All I'm saying is that if your perspective allowed you to consider those games in addition to the multiplatform games, then the list would almost certainly not be the same.

From everything I am hearing about Dead Island I think I will just wait and pick it up at a bargain price in the future when most of the bugs have been patched out....

I like a bit of Zombie action and I am still waiting for a truly class Zombie game that is done right but Dead Island although it doesn't look like the definitive Zombie game, it does look closer than most..... so a patched up, bargain priced buy sounds good to me!
