G4tv: The Devil May Cry HD Collection has been rumored since this past June when a Spanish retailer posted an ad. Since then no new details have been released, until today. Capcom hasn't confirmed anything but the ESRB has publicly re-categorized Devil May Cry, Devil May Cry 2 and Devil May Cry 3: Dante's Awakening. "Change Value of Platforms from "PlayStation 2" to "PlayStation 2, PlayStation 3, Xbox 360." Meaning, these games are no longer just for the PS2.

Me leaving it out should be telling of my thoughts on it. Better than 2 as a DMC game.
Still a good game though.
3,1,4,5 to me, never played 2. 5 gameplay is amazing but level design was really disappointing to me, just a bunch of plain arenas, the story felt like a worse written rehash of the 3rd and the charater models looked weird ( specially the ladies ). Another problem with 5 was that there was not enough content for 3 charaters so I could never really familiarize with any of them

God DMC2 was an awful game.
And in case this isn't obvious it goes worst to best
Order changes depending on your focus. I tend to focus on gameplay/fun factor, so...

I really didn't like 4 but commend Dante's weapon diversity. The retreading of old ground was pretty unacceptable to me.
But even then... Still more enjoyable than 2 for me

Ninja Gaiden 2 was never multiplat. NG Sigma 2 is a remixed game not the same game at all
Dante's inferno... such a great GoW inspired game. So sad the sequel was canned, it sounded like it was going to be even more epic than the first.
Yeap, classic GoW is still better mechanically. But the aesthetics and atmosphere of Dante's Inferno were just top-notch. Shame it never got a PC port, but at the very least is available on modern Xbox.
I just can’t get into the devil may cry series. In my opinion you never feel powerful in those games. The guns are pointless as they only serve to be a flashy part of a combo. DMC was the only one that I could tolerate long enough to beat.
With Final Fantasy XVI committing fully to fast-paced action gameplay, it may finally be time for a new remake series of a classic Capcom franchise: Devil May Cry. As the franchise that essentially originated the particular style of 3D action combat that the upcoming Final Fantasy is making heavy use of, Devil May Cry could very well be due for a remake, or even a series of remakes, to address certain flaws and more dated aspects of its classic games, similarly to the popular modern remakes for Capcom's Resident Evil series.
why in the hell would we need a remake of devil may cry when devil may cry 5 was great? We just need devil may cry 6 ; not a remake, enough with the remakes
Yeah I mean, no insult to the franchise but it's not like the story or location of the first was so top tier that we need to go back to it
I'd much prefer we get new games that have such combat. Enough with the remakes. At least move forward if you want more of the same series
Why not a sequel? Why do we run to "needs a Remake" all the time now. I'd rather have the original and then a brand new entry instead of the original and the original but remade.

Yikes! What did I say wrong this time? Lol you guys bitter the whole series is now going to be playable on 360?? Come on, devil may cry doesn't belong to you, it belongs to capcom, and they wanna share with 360 gamers. Deal with it.
Cool, about time we get to play DMC on are PS3's (The old ones).
