lol like any game there are 98% of people who will not experience one thing wrong, look at the consoles where save games get corrupted, or freezes etc... These are issues that happen to an unfortunate few. BTW I dont really think your a PC gamer its quite obvious you love your PS3.

Hey I'm a PC gamer too, I was actally a PC gamer first and have been for nearly 25 years, as soon as I was old enough to type on a keyboard and use a mouse so I know what you mean, but I dont think there's anything you could teach me about PC gaming I dont already know. I've even built (from scratch) three gaming rigs!!

My point is the money just isn't in PC gaming any more.. PC games are rarely in shops / rarely advertised, you can call out digital distribution (i own 60+ Steam games and love it) but is it really enough?? In my opinion it isn't and I see the tides changing!!

In my opinion the PC's greatest aspect i.e. being am open and upgradeable platform will also be its biggest downfall.. In all the years i've gamed I can honestly say that the PC, whilst getting the benefits of mods etc is also the platform where i've had the most issues when wanting to just sit down and play a game. In this day and age people just dont have the time to fiddle and tweak their chosen platform, its a throw away want everything in am instant society and its ashame, but its also the truth!!

I want to disagree but lack of fov and this jerky stutter im getting when fraps is reading 150fps is giving me motion sickness.

Btw I'm not the only one. Theres a pretty decent sized thread on steam forums about motion sickness

through messing with the config file I was able to jack up the aa and high res shadows and high res textures.

Once they fix those two things then I'm golden.

I paid only $36 for my version while the console gamers pay twice as much for the same game that looks half as good.

Oh while you're paying $15 for DLCs I'll be getting contents from mods for free.

Actually most of the money you pay for the console version goes into:

Royalities for Sony, MS
Packaging
transport
retailer margins
damages
returns etc

When a console version sell for 60usd the publisher ends up getting 10-15usd

When a PC version sells for 50usd, the publishers ends up getting 30-35usd.

Hence it actually take consoles to outsell PC 2 times to get the same margin.

I'm playing it in 1920x1080 32xCSAA 60+fps (V-SYNC on).

And clearly you're not a PC gamer if you don't enjoy buttery smooth frame rates, responsive gameplay, high resolutions, and lower initial prices ($49.99 on Steam)

Nothing against consoles (I enjoy my PS3/360 regularly) but anything available on the PC, I'd be an idiot not to get it there.

I bought retail copy because I read about the Steam debacle (luckily) before I purchased it this morning. No crashes, no freezes, only been stuck in a wall once so far in 5 hours of gameplay. The only thing I want to be able to change is the FOV. The rest is a very good console to PC port.

for PC elites touting their platform, name some titles that look substantially better than the console counterpart without mods, and YOU MUST OWN THEM AND CAN PLAY AT MAX SETTINGS.

i own The Witcher 2 on PC and play it on Max settings and i will go out on a limb and say it will look a "tad" bit better then the 360 version. Also, Dead Space 2 on PC is amazing compared to the PS3

Crysis 2, GTA 4, Team fortress 2... actually just the whole orange box. left 4 dead and L4D 2, and soon to be Battlefield 3.... there is probably more that i don't own. there, i named some. and this doesn't make me a pc elite. i just wanted to answer your question.

grand theft auto, burnout paradise, deus ex, crysis2, alice, just cause 2, every resident evil game that has come to pc, f.e.a.r, borderlands, the first gears of war looks way better, bad company 2, mafia2, bioshock, mirrors edge, dirt,2,3, f1 2010, i could keep going almost every game ive played on my pc looks way better than when i play that game with my 360 hooked up to my monitor which is why my 360 collects dust i can use my 360 wireless controller for almost all new games if i want to also, which i usually don't.... those games don't look as bad when sitting far back in a living room on a lcd or plasma but get alil closer in that living room and u start to see a big difference. plus the fact console games are way overpriced this is the first gen i never bought every console to come out, every year i just lean more and more toward pc im almost sad i bought a 360 gears of war was ok but the rest was played on pc..... and gears has no replay value most likely next gen consoles will not be bought at all the graphics will be sweet for 4 months then pc will pass it whenever i feel like upgrading which proly won't be until a year or so after the consoles are released.

My PC version blows my friends PS3 version out of the water. Twice the texture resolution and 1080p native fully maxed runnig at 68fps average. All for half the price. When he saw this running on my TV his jaw dropped.

Not bad for a $700 comp.

@fanboi haha just d/l this game for the hell of it running maxed @ 1080p almost 300fps haha i do have a pretty beast rig but its def not the fastest around but damn this thing doens't even make my vid cards sweat, btw ur friend that jaws dropped must not see allot of pc games cause this doesn't even look that good, its like to much bloom effect or something....

i7 950@ 3.4, gtx480's sli oc'd to 800 core 1600 shader, 2000mhz memory but just about any mid range pc could run this easily, a 500 budget gaming rig could run circles around this game.

You really can't request a counterpart otherwise you'll be bias towards console limitations as most developers now work within cross-platform development methodologies.

The only example I can think of off the top of my head of a PC to Console port, which I know more than one exist, is Half Life 2 which ran poorly on the XBox even when they "dumbed" it down. Many games released over multiple platforms will tend to favor graphical enhancements on the PC, such as higher resolution textures, larger rendered areas, DirectX enhancements but will lack a lot of platform specific optimization.
