Wow that looked Amazing... I always like to see the real life comparison to see how well they copied the track into the game... Really Nice Job

Also love the feeling of speed which they also have seemed to, nail it, something a lot of games don't manage to do very well, but this is awesome... Excellent job

Cant Wait either For F1 2011 -I am now sold, I will be picking this one up...

The game starts to outrun Fernando Alonso till he starts using KERS and DRS. I though that was pretty cool. With DRS, towards the end Alonso had a much higher terminal velocity. Between the KERS and the DRS, he finishes a 10th or 2 ahead of the game even in the damp.
That was one of the best races of the year. If not for DRS Michael Schumacher would have gotten to the podium.

real life ALWAYS wins, stupid comparison

Liquid_Ocelot4640d ago

I don't think they are trying to "beat" real life, you know? More like to show how close they can get to the real thing, how authentic they can make the game look/feel.

In real life they won't let me get behind the wheel of an F1 car.

if you compared haze to real life, we know which 1 would win

This shows how games are getting more real aesthetically but gameplay wise they are light years behind. This is nothing new there are numerous of these real life f1 comparison with GT5 too however the thing that disappointed me with F1 2010 is the modelling...GT5 cockpit view is what we want and alos the physics were a bit too arcadey.

Crazyglues4640d ago (Edited 4640d ago )

Yeah but you are comparing this to GT5 and let's just be fair, any game compared to that is going to fall short.. it's pretty hard to compete against GT5..

The game is like a Master piece of 5 years in development with they guys who always set the bar on PlsyStation.. -(those guys know what they are doing and they are really talented)

I mean I do see your point, but I'm just saying it's going to be hard for anyone to do racing as good as GT5 has done it - for one, when I play GT5 and I'm racing there is an amazing feel of just how good that game really is...

for another game to even come close to that without that kind of budget or that kind of talented people - that's going to be tough..

I mean look at car companies, it's not like they don't see the BMW M3 winning Car of the year -year after year- it's not that they don't want to take that throne, it's just not that easy

F1 seems to have tried to stay with what they do well which seems to have a lot GRID type of style, which is working for them.. so the more arcadey feel is to be expected

-But should still be a good game none the less, I'll get it just because I really wanted Grid 2 but that doesn't seem to ever be coming out so I'll grab this -codemasters seem to do a pretty good job on these racing games..

@ FishCake9T4

-but that's not a console game, that's not even a fair comparison... but I need to check this game out now that my PC is up and running..

A lot of people always say iRacing, I have never played it, but it looks petty cool

To Sony, and so many other companies in this industry, the short-term satisfaction and happiness of their shareholders means so much more to them than their employees, their products, and their customers.

Apologies, don't know how the above comment ended up here while it clearly should have gone to other article about the Sony lay-offs. Please delete.
