A fourth title within popular shooter franchise TimeSplitters may be set for announcement soon, according to the latest issue of Official PlayStation Magazine UK.
With the launch of Homefront: The Revolution, developed by the remnants of Free Radical, the question on a lot of people's minds is "Where is TimeSplitters?". This arcticle is an in-depth look into the TimeSplitters series as well as it's developers Free Radical, who later went on to become Dambuster studios, looking into where it all went wrong and also diving into their secret projects.

Amen to that, Homefront is sadly the closest weird going to get, looking at the facts. I hope I am wrong though.
It's a saddening affair, Doom reminded me why these arcade shooters are more enjoyable in my eyes for FPS, multiplayer mayhem in TimeSplitters 1, 2 & 3 were godly. Many a evening in my childhood were spent on TimeSplitters just unlocking all the characters for killing in capture the bag!
HD remaster is all we need, screw online it's all about that local!
Great article, l just wish these guys and gals could make a new Timesplitters game instead of the ones Crytek wants them to make. A new Timesplitters game with local four player split-screen gaming would be amazing. Sadly it looks like no new game is in development.
Sadly with the original developers are fragmented as they are, (I think it's about halfway through the article, I do a mini "Where are they now") - I don't see a new TimeSplitters game coming any time soon... At least not without the core feeling. If we see it come back, I see it come back as a purely competitive online shooter.

Timesplitters has always been considered a wonderful oddity in the industry. Nothing compares to the series' wacky antics and insane multiplayer action. Unfortunately despite critical success and a rabid fan base the franchise is struggling against modern forces threatening its very existence.

It's been rumoured so many times now I don't know what to think.
I do hope it comes but I don't want to get my hopes up for it just incase it never is made.
If it's true just please try make it in TimeSplitters fashion and don't try and be like something else and end up ruining it. TS games were so awesome for what they were and if they insistently try and "broaden it's audience" (I hate that phrase) it won't be the same.
I hope so Timespliterrs is one of my favourite franchises of all time.
