Skyrim, RAGE could hit Vita, Wii U – if they prove a “good fit”

Bethesda “want to make our games available to the widest audience possible on whatever platforms that will support the game” – and while Wii “wasn’t even an option”, games such as Skyrim and RAGE could see release on the Vita and Wii U if their technical capabilities prove a “good fit” for Bethesda’s ambitions.

@Ness-Psi
sigh *whether...

and nice, be pretty sweet to take this game on the go.

JoGam4670d ago

It will be a good fit...It would be a good fit. Please release for Vita.

Kur04669d ago

A whole year extra??? Just get it for PC!

BlackIceJoe4670d ago

Skyrim on the Vita would be awesome. I would gladly pick that game up on the Vita.

Rainstorm814670d ago (Edited 4670d ago )

and it would be great to transfer game saves between the PS3 and the PSV, that would make it a day one purchase for the PSV

RaptorGTA4669d ago

This would be a reason I would pick up the vita.

matey4670d ago

Vita version why no 3DS that thing does DX10 like shaders the 3DS should get these games too

SpitTake4670d ago

that doesn't mean anything when the whole console can't play the game what so every

MasterCornholio4670d ago

The reason why they don't mention the 3DS is because it lacks 2 analog sticks and the hardware cant handle a game like Skyrim. Mind you the Vita version wont be as good as the PS3 one but it will still run on Sonys portable.

pain777pas4669d ago

The thing about the vita that even if a game runs at a lower res which will be weird and I am trying to think of a wide screen resolution that the devs could use on the device that is not 4:3. But for argument sake won't a 480p look great on this machine? The answer is yes! The screen and lower resolution is the key to Vita success.

MasterCornholio4669d ago

From what i have read. Even if the resolution is SD on a screen that small it will appear HD.

StbI9904670d ago

3DS sucks, just admit it, lets see 3DS lite tho.

Iroquois_Pliskin4669d ago

sorry, Skyrim would Never run on 3DS

If I had a reason to be using Vita alot, like commuting to work, or off travelling somewhere for a long time, or a job that involved sitting around doing nothing for hours... then Skyrim would be an awesome game to get for it.... so I hope it does come out in case I ever feel the need to have it while on the go....

Hozi894670d ago

I hope they bring Rage and Skyrim to Vita. Wii U may get and updated version with extra features and better visuals...I wonder if the graphical diff. would be noticeable from PS3 version?

I'm Replaying Skyrim (again), and So Should You

Replaying Skyrim after 13 years is a reminder of the progress made in western RPGs over the last decade, but also what's been lost.

anast12d ago

I tried, but it's a poorly made game that insults its customers.

lucian22912d ago

nah, only mods make it decent, and even then it's bad, and this is after i modded for at least 3 years

Nittdarko12d ago

Funnily enough, I'm about to play it for the first time in VR with 1000 mods to make the game playable, as is the Bethesda way

The 7 Best Western RPGs: Immersive Adventures

RPGs are often huge, sprawling endeavours. With limited playtime, we have to choose wisely, so here's the best western RPGs available today.

SimpleSlave12d ago

"I started playing games yesterday" the List... Meh!

How about a few RPGs that deserve some love instead?
1 - Alpha Protocol - Now on GOG
2 - else Heart.Break()
3 - Shadowrun Trilogy
4 - Wasteland 2
5 - UnderRail
6 - Tyranny
7 - Torment: Tides of Numenera

And for a bonus game that flew under the radar:
8 - Banishers: Ghosts of New Eden

DustMan12d ago

Loved Alpha Protocol in all it's glorious jank. Great game.

SimpleSlave12d ago (Edited 12d ago )

Not only glorious jank, but the idea that the story can completely change depending on what you do, or say, or side with, makes it one of the most forward thinking games ever. The amount of story permutation is the equivalent of a Hitman level but in Story Form. And it wasn't just that the story changed, no, it was that you met completely new characters, or missed them, depending on your choices. Made Mass Effect feel static in comparison.

Alpha Protocol was absolutely glorious, indeed. And it was, and still is, more Next Gen than most anything out there these days. In this regard at least.

Pity.
