So what happens to all of the gamers who have been waiting for Pikmin Wii for...oh, I don't know...the past 4 years?

It would be like Gran Turismo 5 skipping the PS3 and launching with the PS Vita.

RahatR4682d ago

I never played pikman but heard a lot of good things about it. Can anyone vouch for that?

Lylat_644682d ago

Definitely worth picking up (really cheap now) I loved the first one on the GC, never played 2 but from what I've read and seem is meant to be even better.

Ness-Psi4682d ago

same here played 1 but not 2. brilliant game really charming and quiet taxing in later levels.

junk3d4682d ago

Sigh that's gonna be a long wait from now..

Shok4682d ago

Didn't Miyaymoto confirm during the week of E3 that Pikmin 3 is 100% confirmed going to the Wii U?

Gordo7894682d ago

yeah, i heard that was the case.

ScubaSteve14682d ago

Pikmin 4 is great. The new camera system made everything better.

Cacabunga70d ago

I like the concept of this game but it really gets boring in the long run. Nintendos flagship could be F-Zero, they really need to bring it back

-Foxtrot70d ago

I’d prefer a StarFox spin off like the GameCube Adventure games. I found them to be fun despite being different to the main core games.

RaiderNation70d ago (Edited 70d ago )

@-Foxtrot

I'd love a new Star Fox game done in a similar format to Starlink, but with a better story and better enemy variety.

Nebaku70d ago

Every subsequent F-Zero sold worse than the prior.

If it's a flagship title, I think the flag will sink with the ship.

I love Pkimin 4, but wish they'd lean more into the rts aspects of the game. Would be interesting if you were using pikmin to gather resources and building stuff. Wouldn't mind if it strayed a iittle bit away from the cozy game territory. Atleast in spin-off.

MrBaskerville70d ago

Everyone hated the rts sections or what?

ifinitygamer70d ago

The "next gen console update" part of this is so clickbaity. The Nintendo president offered an update that they have nothing to update us on.

Crows9070d ago (Edited 70d ago )

I'm all in for a new Nintendo generation if they can give us

New smash
New Mario party
New Metroid
New Zelda both in 3d and 2d
New starfox
New IP
New and better pokemon game that really advances the IP

ifinitygamer70d ago

So you want all new Nintendo games from every franchise lol
Not making fun but it's like every major franchise, minus Mario for some reason?

talocaca70d ago

I live in Japan and Pikmin 4 did surprisingly well. Tons of collaborations and marketing. Even now they play ads on the trains.

One of my favorite franchises ♥️

Review - Pikmin 1 (Switch) | WayTooManyGames

WTMG's Leo Faria: "For better or for worse, this is now the easiest and most practical way to play Pikmin, and figure out why has this franchise managed to stand the test of time for so long. I particularly didn’t understand the hype. To me, Pikmin is average at best. It’s a game that has aged poorly, especially when it comes to these dated controls. The fact this wasn’t even a remaster, but a bare bones upscaled port of a game from 2001, certainly didn’t help. It did nothing to fix its many issues, nor did it receive improvements in its visuals, audio, or performance. It can be fun for a while, and having yet another (costly) way to have it preserved for the future is nice, but I certainly am not enamored with the franchise after playing it. I’d rather just stick to Tinykin."
