Nintendo 3DS vs. PlayStation Vita Specs Comparison – E3 2011

The PlayStation Vita now officially unveiled, lets put it side by side with the Nintendo 3DS. Priced the same, all of us curious which system provides the best overall value. For your $250, which console you prefer to buy?

Nintendo on Tuesday is slated to show off the successor to its popular Wii game console. It hasn’t yet announced a name for the device or described its features, but the company has promised to present a “playable model” at the confab.

Do we really need to put them side by side to see that the Vita is more powerful?

I think its worth a shot. after all there starts a new more competition in Portable gaming devices too ..

3DS is a nintendo product which means has nintendo exclusives ( and we all know nintendo makes the best games)

Not sure if Nintendo makes the best games but rather the same game over and over again. I mean what's up with digging up Luigi's Mansion, Star Fox 64 and Pilot Wings from the grave just to put it on the 3DS? Back on topic. What's the point comparing them? There is NO compariison.VITA is obviously more powerful.

you mean like 3 uncharted in 3 and a half years? yes vita is more powerful and i would not talk about repeats if i was you just no and dont forget cod every year and like 10 halos so just stop and there was one luigi mansion? nintedno owns in games even if a lot ares sequels but every one does that last time i checked

@ rexbolt . Uncharted is current. These games Nintendo are digging up are decades old. Luigi's Mansion wasn't even a very good game. How about Nintendo try to build some newer franchises rather then searching through their broom closets for series that died out a long time ago. Take some new IP risks more often for the love of cake instead of MARIO KART........3D. I was a Nintendo fanboy myself before the Wii and I left because of this kind of $hit.

oh they died out but yet the still sell and ppl love them? srry they are good enough to o on forever thats nintendo for u nintendo has many mascots they dont throw away chars like lots of other ppl i enjoy these games and they rarely ever come out i cant say i miss uncharted like i do zelda

+1. As an adult gamer, I have suffered through almost *30* years of Mario hype. I was done with Mario and the gang by the end of the 90s. While some of those are indeed true classics and hold up even today (Super Mario World ROCKED), there has been a lot of garbage mixed in and I have no idea why people still consider that stuff fresh or exciting.

I tend to view Nintendo's systems as kiddie systems. They're less powerful and they have a bunch of casual stuff and the AAA releases are all Mario and Yoshi and the rest of the Mushroom crew.

It's great that I have something that I know will usually be a fun and safe game for my kids but TBH, I'll bet most adult and hardcore gamers moved beyond Nintendo's stuff pretty early this gen. It's getting old for us.
