Michael Pachter is a moron and his predictions are never right.

showtimefolks4712d ago

but some info on his patch attack has helped me understand the industry aspect of it better

i watched the last bonus round where patcher, shane and jeff from giantbomb were there to discuss E3.

their main thing about wii2 was simple are we gonna get a true WII2 or just wii in HD with a little better specs than xbox360/ps3.

but if its just wii in HD with just little or as much power as xbox360/ps3 it will get blown away in 2-3 years max by a new xbox360 and year after taht by sony/ps3.

nintendo really has a huge shot to either make a lot of money or screw them self big time

either way i am super excited about wii 2 and can't wait to find out more

Pachter: "I told you Wii 2 was coming! I told y-"

Someone with a brain: "Oh, you said that 2 years ago! Sit down and shut the hey up!"

Pachter: :(

Redgehammer4711d ago

Really? Do you honestly think he would still have a job if he was always wrong?

Ducky4711d ago

Well, supposing that he's been always wrong so far, the law of averages states that he is bound to start making a chain of accurate predictions.

Perhaps his employers are clinging on to that hope?

Jack-H4712d ago

I predict...... Sh*t, I got nothin.

You know, about that Wii Vitality Sensor thing, I wonder if something similar will be incorporated into the new Cafe controller.

Now, I've always thought that the Vitality Sensor is.. pretty crap. I mean, it's a good idea, and the potential is pretty cool, but the way it would be presented and used for the Wii wouldn't be an instant win like the Wii Balance Board or something. But think of the potential of technology like the Vitality Sensor being embedded into the new controller! o:

maybe wii music 2 will be the biggest launch title mentioned for cafe at E3.

kesvalk4712d ago

the great thing with project cafe, is that the 3DS is not very good as well

nintendo aways got through the harsh times (n64 and GC) because of their portables covering the deficit of the consoles...

if Pcafe AND the 3DS get the shaft, they will be in a tight situation...

but patcher predictions are like HHG, there is almost 0% of consistency or logic...

AWBrawler4711d ago

i missed the news that said 3DS is "not very good"
could you post a link confirming or supporting this, from a legitimate source???

AdvanceWarsSgt4711d ago

Yes, I would like to know these sources too that confirm the 3DS being "not very good".

Unless you mean it's not good right now because there are no worthwhile games to purchase, then I can agree with you on that.

kesvalk4711d ago

yeah, this, capcom shifted their efforts towards the PS3, dead or alive seem like is not selling well too, and this is basically the only games on the handheld.

i sure hope things get more lively cuz only the 3D thing is not cutting this time...
nintendo should have released a game with the handheld (pilot wings doesn't count, because the series is almost forgotten and not a lot of ppl like it the premise of the game.)

i just hope nintendo don't enter in another "dark age" with lacklustre consoles and games...

AdvanceWarsSgt4711d ago

I would read too much into the Capcom thing, because they grouped the DS and 3DS together, and even if they were only referring to the 3DS, they only went from 11 projects to 9. 2 games is hardly anything to get panicky about when 9 others are coming.

Strange headline, as I thought the star of the show was Super RType. I almost bought RType Dimensions EX this last month and was just thinking, man I wish we had the SNES one somewhere on Switch. That's where I got my start w the series and I was beyond excited to see it drop this week!
