First Gears Of War 3 Campaign Trailer

After Barcelona's triumphan t win over Manchester United in the Champions League final, the first Gears of War 3 campaign trailer was aired.

It's good, but I was expecting it to be a lot better trailer-wise, since Gears usually has amazing trailers that stand out from the rest.

I'm a ps3 fan that just purchased a 360 last week and enjoying it very much. Playing crysis 2 on 360, forza 3, and can't wait for gears 3 and kindoms. Games just keep surprising me with jaw dropping graphics. Forza 4 will be more shocking than kingdoms.

@kingdoms Not bitter, I think Gears is one of the best quality game series on 360, that's why I had high expectations in the first place, that's more of a compliment to it than a slander...

Also, all you seem to be worried about is graphics.

Remember how much criticism those caught though? They had no actual gameplay in them and the emotion is those trailers was nowhere to be found in either campaign (with the exception, of course, where Dom found Maria).

I think using this song (Black Sabbath? I don't know shit about rock) works pretty well. Captured the whole "the world is going to hell" vibe. Also, it hits closer to home for the dirty, rugged rock solid punch to the face type of action games this series has churned out.

gears 1 was my very first next gen game and the reason i got my 360 in the first place... but thats was when their graphics were the best... this kinda seems like meh graphics to me.... rage graphics and bioshock infinite destroy this... the gameplay will be great in gears 3 though... but i might skip this one....gears 1 mad world trailer stomped on this one though

Why do you care so much when a commercial is shown? Marketing is just trying to create public awareness and hype up the title.

MS isn't Sony. MS know how to market and advertise. They know what they are doing.

Uncharted 3 will be nominated for GOTY just like GoW3....but Uncharted 3 won't be GOTY this year.

MS is pro at Marketing, thats the biggest advantage they have over Sony. Showing this game this ealry after a huge Soccer game is brilliant advertising if you ask me.

I'm blown away by how much Epic improved everything...From artstyle,to what seems to be more variety and alot of gameplay types and graphics which are absolutely kick ass.Character models,lighting,post processing,scale,animations... everything is anted up!Great job!Cant wait for E3.

First day buy for me, for sure. Gears is my favorite series on the Xbox and the reason why I picked up a 360 in the first place.

Side note:
All you guys bicker and argue about GOTY, but who really determines the official "Game of the Year" award? There are so many media outlets out there with varying opinions that shell out the award, it really doesn't matter. Just enjoy what you get. There are plenty of good games to go around in 2011, we really shouldn't be determining GOTY as if there's really an official GOTY ruling.
